| Top 50 Clubs In World DJmag.com can exclusively reveal the Top 50 Clubs in the World - as voted for by international DJs. While the DJmag staff have our own extensive clubbing knowledge, we thought it much more appropriate to throw this vote open to the DJs who regularly travel on the international circuit - after all, they get about a bit! We asked 600 DJs from all around the world to name their top three clubs, based on their DJing experience. The results have been added up to create this unique poll, which was published in the last issue of DJmag (29 March 2006) Top 50 Clubs In The World 2006 1 Name: Fabric Location: London Capacity: 1600 Website: www.fabriclondon.com 2 Name: The End Location: London Capacity: 1000 Website: www.endclub.com 3 Name: Turnmills Location: London Capacity: 1100 Website: www.turnmills.co.uk 4 Name: Pacha Location: Ibiza Capacity: 3000 Website: www.pacha.com 5 Name: Space Location: Ibiza Capacity: 5000 Website: www.space-ibiza.es 6 Name: Amnesia Location: Ibiza Capacity: 5000 Website: www.amnesia.es 7 Name: Womb Location: Tokyo Capacity: 1500 Website: www.womb.co.jp 8 Name: DC10 Location: Ibiza Capacity: 1500 Website: www.circolocoibiza.com 9 Name: The Cross Location: London Capacity: 550 Website: www.the-cross.co.uk 10 Name: The Arches Location: Glasgow Capacity: 2000 Website: www.thearches.co.uk 11 Name: Zouk Location: Singapore Capacity: 3700 Website: www.zoukclub.com 12 Name: Guvernment Location: Toronto, Canada Capacity: 5500 Website: www.theguvernment.com 13 Name: Air Location: Birmingham Capacity: 1500 Website: www.godskitchen.com 14 Name: Honey Club Location: Brighton Capacity: 1200 Website: www.thehoneyclub.co.uk 15 Name: Panorama Bar/Berghain Location: Berlin Capacity: 2500 Website: www.berghain.de 16 Name: Yellow Location: Tokyo Capacity: 800 Website: www.club-yellow.com 17 Name: The Key Location: Kings Cross, London Capacity: 350 - 1000 Website: www.thekeylondon.com 18 Name: Razzmatazz Location: Barcelona Capacity: 4000 Website: www.salarazzmataz.com 19 Name: Warung Location: Itajai, Brazil Capacity: 3000 Website: N/A 20 Name: Space Location: Miami, USA Capacity: 2500 Website: www.clubspace.com 21 Name: SuperCharged Location: Audio, Brighton Capacity: 320 Website: www.superchargedmusic.com 22 Name: Stereo Location: Montreal, Canada Capacity: 1200 Website: www.stereo-nightclub.com 23 Name: The Egg Location: Kings Cross, London Capacity: 720 Website: www.egglondon.net 24 Name: Lush! Congratulations??? How can you say congrats considering weve had residencies w/ Ferry and Sasha? When we have the likes of PvD, Tiesto, Digweed, Oakenfold, etc regularly playing in California for so many years now. On any given New Years you will have several top 10 Djs playing in California or Vegas. This ranking is abysmal.
LOL the club in India is ranked higher. Well it wasnt a surprise to me. DJs do not remember a gig solely based on how great the sound is; the club could have the most state of the art audio equipment but if the crowd and vibe arent right all of those audio delights are of no use.
I once had a false sense of superiority in regards to the EDM scene here, but then I did something very simple. I got a passport, saved up some money, and traveled a little. Lets just say I found it to be a refreshing breather if you will. For the most part there was no cloud of noxious fakery and superficiality that usually hangs around in Avalon or Spundae. Simply put the people were friendlier and more sociable.
Ive learned my lessoninstead of wasting $50+ for some show over here I might as well save up and have a TRUE club experience abroad. Yes you may argue tickets are not always $50. This is true, but when you consider the high price of the diluted and horrid drinks served at Spundae/Avalon the average bill per person gets rather high
Ice isn't on there cause they dont' pull many big names regularly. They get armin twice maybe 3 times a year, tiesto once or twice, and a few others once a year er so. But the djs they regularly pull are not that great imo.
Plus look at the voters in this poll, not the main target of Ice, which owes a lot of profit to tourists looking for a party. They do have a sound system and can pull in big names and true fans, but nothing like ive seen at other clubs on that list.

unfortunately the music sucks (lil jon/50 cent remixes), but friendly ass crowd and i got drunk for free because it's so cheap for others to buy you drinks they don't even care!
