618 Records

Address - somewhere on Hindley St near Earth.
Been there, keep an eye out for the sign cos they don't have a shopfront and you need to climb up a few floors of stairs to get there. Not the place for trance records.

Re: Australian Record Shops
Central Station
- had a bit of trance and house back when i bought my decks there last year, but more recently i couldn't find much in terms of trance. not a huge range, but some good tracks here and there, also a $5 or $10 bargain bin if i remember correctly (last time i went was a few months ago)
- 4 or 5 1200's to listen on. and to new-goers, yes - its in that dodgy looking alley, upstairs
R&S
- Funky house, electro, less-than-commercial house, progressive (i think i saw some digweed, perry o neil reworks in there one time) Nice small collection of stuff, friendly staff will recommend tracks you might like. Prices a bit higher than other stores
Don't forget http://www.capitaldj.com.au/
prahran i think, bought Super8 - Alba+Dawn from there, logged details so i can get a bigger discount with more purchases at the store, haven't really been around that area since. Good collection of trance and house - last year. site (when it goes back up) should have the catalog...
and.. Second Spin - theres a store i prahran, store in city has closed down (i think). a few gems in there if you're willing to look through, lots of old techno
