Need help choosing one of those

Hey Guys, i need to buy a 2 channel mixer. I really need help on choosing one of those :

1- Numark DXM06
2- Vestax VMC-002XL
3- Denon DN-X100

They are all very good mixers, but I was looking more into the numark dxm06 because it has effects, but what do you guys think about that, does the vestax or denon has better sound quality ? do they live longer ? or is there not much of a difference between those 3 mixers. I wanna see which one I would be refered to the most, so help me choose one. thanks in advance

DN-X100 you wont regret it !!!
brilliant little mixer with ultra-smooth VCA faders, curve ajust, smooth EQs, simplicity, big VU meter....in one word - great mixer!

DXM06 out of those 3...

The Vestax is just too basic, the Denon is a bit better, but you'll have the most fun with the effects and whatever on the Numark.

Honestly out of all the mixers above, I wouldnt buy either. if you can save around 50$ more and get a DN-X300, better than all those. if not then go with the DXM-06 even though the faders wont last you long.

you mean save $100 more, anyway the DN-X300 has no effects, why should i pay more money for something that doesnt have effects which probably just like munchy said ill have more fun with dxm06. DN-X300 no doubt is better than all of those for scratching, but im not into scratching much. thanks for the advice tho

i havent really expected the dxm06 to be the most one refered to, but i think ill just go for that one then, awsome!

Ok seriously, in my opinion and EXPERIENCE in owning a dxm-06 mixer, i'd say DON'T get one.

ok, yeah it has effects. on that though, they aren't that great. you don't get much control over each effect. you can only use HALF for mixing or scratching, the other half is for a mic or other input ONLY. seriously, effects, OOOOOOO . If you really want effects, as many others will tell you, buy an external unit, or a REALLY good mixer with effects (Xone 92, DJM-600 or 800 etc)

also, as someone stated, the faders WILL go out quickly. even with just mixing use. the crossfader is replacable, but once the up faders start to go (as mine did) they cannot be replaced!! (unless sent back to Numark)

Seriously, just buy a really good 2-channel mixer if it's your first. you need to know the basics anyways.

I recently picked up a Rane ttm-56 and am loving it. sure it doesn't have effects, but big whoop. it's given me a chance to hone down on the basics again. plus the quality (build and sound) is amazing.

But on a side note, if anyone wants to buy a Numark DXM-06, i have one for sale !! needs a new crossfader and an upfader (will have to contact Numark, they still haven't got back to me). $50+ shipping, PM me

thanks for the offer, but i dont wanna buy a mixer and worry about fixing it no matter how cheap im getting it for, i wanna buy one and start playin right away.

which one of these mixers has the highest resell value?

Posted by alefort on Apr-16-2006 19:49:

I will hazard a guess at the Vestax....but that is completely subjective on my part. But I would not expect to get more than 40-60% of original cost for a low end mixer, why would they pay more when they can get the brand new one for 100$ more? Right?

Posted by x_moe on Apr-16-2006 19:52:

ya exactly, thats why im kinda backin up from buying a used mixer... i was just askin coz i know by 1 yr im gona sell the mixer and buy one with 4 channels and get 2 cdjs.. so i was wondering about the resell value, but ya i also guess it would be the vestax

I'm currently looking at these 2 myself. I can't decide which. I can get both for a price I'm happy to pay.

Does anyone know the signal:noise ratio on the Vestax? Can't find it anywhere.
For anyone that's used the Denon, does it feel cramped to use?
Is the supposed fader lag bad?

i ended up with the dxm06 bro, but im pretty sure the denon will make you happy

I have NO knowledge of the Vestax product... Between Denon and Numark, I'd take the Numark. It was a great mixer while I had it.. and the denon would be really boring to mix on..

How long did you have the Numark and why did you sell it?
