Clovis & Bas - Articulated Music

Me and Bas got really drunk, spun for about 3 hours for fun, then hit record for 75 minutes. This is the result. Nothing was planned except my opening track, and I picked it in about 2 minutes. The rest is me and bas having a good time, I hope it shows in the mix, especially towards the end when we started to get crazy. There are two yuck fuck ups around Royksopp - 49%, bas was doing a little improvised mash-up. He had done it on the fly earlier and it sounded fucking awesome, but we had trouble replicating what we did (I blame lack of enough beer).

That's because it was improvised. How else do you mix? Anyway we had just come off a 4+ hour practice with lots o beer, brain was friedizzle

FUN FACT:

Tracks 3,4,7, and 15 were bought about an hour before the mix And practicing is for chumps!

I've listened once and what I noticed most is how you two have nice flow. Every single track seemed to fit like a jigsaw and mesh like they were all meant to follow one another. It's obvious you two share some... intimacy Very artsy, beatnik, electroish. Perfect fit for an art gallery. The highlight was DEFINATELY the Apparat track Good find! I noticed one eensty flaw near that tune, very minimal though, along with the Goldfrapp spot. Other than that, it feels more like a composition than a tracklist.

There will be stronger alcohol at the art gallery. We'll bomb the place

I take the blame, for the lack of good alcohol, and for the Apparat track (yes its fucking awesome).
