Confusing.. He's in dublin yet has an italian flag..

Either he's a bit dim, or he's an italian living in dublin..

either way, it would be cool to have another irish lad on here.

I hate the DJM600 too because its a pile of crap and sounds like shit.

Posted by Foecunditatis on Apr-18-2006 03:55:

3 years ago, xone 92 is what is standard around here. +1 to x1500 and the nuo5

Posted by Trance Nutter on Apr-18-2006 06:20:

this is a crap thread with crap reasons for hating the DJM-600.

If you're going to make claims like that how about actually giving valid reasons for doing so? Some people have begun to do that (Psiweaver is the clsest to actually giving a reason). But whats the point of talking if you aren't going to say something of substance?

"Cos the X1500 is better" isn't a reason for hating something.

Posted by The Don on Apr-18-2006 09:16:

I actaully live in Glasgow. I'm half Italian though.

Anyway, I owned a DJM for many years but sold it to get an A&H Xone 92 over a year ago. Playing out on Sunday night I had the mixfortune of using a DJM again and everything from sound to function on it annoys me. Not to mention really annoying FX...

Thats all..

Oh yea man without a doubt.

Posted by stefanoc on Apr-18-2006 20:03:

is the dn-x1500 really better than the djm600?
is this mixer built strong? did they fix that problem they had with the crossfader? how does it compare with allen & heath?

Posted by Illuminati on Apr-18-2006 21:07:

Alien & Heath is in a own devision imo, no on ower, no one by the sides and everyone under.

But ther are of course other good mixers out there

Posted by stefanoc on Apr-18-2006 21:28:

i just dont like how allen & heath looks

Posted by Timski on Apr-18-2006 23:02:

I frikkin heart my dnx-1500... They fixed the crossfader issue about 2 years ago as well.

I don't even like the allen and heath mixers personally...

Posted by Events@Spec on Apr-19-2006 05:09:

Eclers are only good if you have spotlights on them to see wtf you're doing...they're "lightless" and that's why I find them to be shit.

Mackie D.2 is genious and put LED's in the EQ's and bright blue LED's in the entire mixer.

Posted by blacknoizybox on Apr-19-2006 05:55:

lightless... i was asking about the mixer in overall. sound, eqs, faders, reliability

Posted by Foecunditatis on Apr-19-2006 09:05:

ya, im totally fucked when i was using a&e for the first time, the upfaders are really2 sensitive, and if i wasnt wrong the lvl indicator is rly2 short its like only about 4 bars, no echo, flangy fx so you have to buy an external fx.. but it sounds damn good...

Posted by Psiweaver on Apr-19-2006 15:52:

you really don't need that much efx imo. you can do amazing things with the filters and the lfo and 4 band eq once you figure that out and experiment with it.

DJM600 is crap because its overpriced, sound quality is crap, poor effects with no ability to change them.

Posted by Foecunditatis on Apr-20-2006 06:49:

ah i think i just got my 1st problem with my denon-x1500

Posted by Ghost Raver on Apr-20-2006 08:00:

I only hate it because I don't have one

I would gladly own one though..
