Which headphones would you buy ?

Posted by DigDeep on Apr-18-2006 20:26:

p.s. - they both retail for the exact amount.

On only like Sennheisers and Ultrasones.

Sennheiser HD25's, absolutely no compromise.

Everything else has been created with "The DJ in mind" which basically means they have over accentuated bass, they highs are usually very tinny and they're flimsy as shit.

yes. Or MDR-V6 (they are in effect exactly the same)

Posted by sr126 on Apr-19-2006 05:08:

right now i'm using the audio-technica ATH-M40fs headphones.

they have been very durable, they're loud, and they sound pretty flat and detailed. plus they are relatively cheap compared to other dj headphones. -i littereally saw one of those piece of shit silver sony headphones fall apart on some one in the middle of mix while he was adjusting them. pretty emabarrasing in my book.

also i don't think they were ever aimed at the dj market, but it was the best i could afford back in '98-'99. i love how they don't do any that stupid karma sutra bullshit, like fold and bend into a pretzel n' stuff like that. they just get the job done. i love em.

HD 25's hands down. I love them because they're light, durable, and sound great.

I like my HD25's a lot! Have been using them for more then just dj'ing. They block out external sounds really well too!

nelly

how should i know the sound on these praised HD25 if "flat" ???

Posted by Nemesis44 on Apr-19-2006 14:09:

The HD25s probably have the flattest response out of all the headphones mentioned in this thread.

I use them and top of the range techs.

Cheers
