Bump. Great Price. Also, the person who was asking about the WoW video card... get this... it's cheap and you'll be running WoW super smooth... provided the rest of your system is decent.

One question, is it compatible with all AGP 4x motherboards?

Yes it's in the box, but it has been opened. I have a good friend who works for ATI, and he has an overabundance of cards that he is given, so he gives them to me when he doesn't want them. I cant use it because I have a PCI-E motherboard (i'm hoping to find a FireGL in my comp soon )

Basically: * All 8x cards are 0.8v AGP 3.0 spec * 8x cards will fit in 1.5V slots, and can tolerate the voltage, but will NOT run properly * 4x cards can be either 1.5V or 0.8V * 2x and 1x cards are either 3.3V or 1.5V * Except in the case of the 8X cards, using the wrong voltage card with the wrong motherboard can result in damage in card and board * If you install a card of incompatible voltages with the motherboard's specs, the card will NOT run The connectors on AGP video cards are keyed in such a way that you can only install equipment that have compatible Voltage keyed connectors. Normally the key of the card determines its signal voltage. AGP 1.0 and AGP 2.0 cards using a 1.5V key will signal at 1.5 volts. However, AGP 3.0 devices can tolerate 1.5V - they won't be destroyed, they just might not work properly. The Bottomline The bottomline is that your 8X video card can theoretically be safely TESTED in any 1.5V motherboard for compatibility. But if you know for a fact that your board only runs 1.5V AGP 2.0 spec and your 8X AGP 3.0 card runs only 0.8v spec, then the two should NOT be compatible one another. At the very least it will be unstable, if it runs at all. However, we've had a lot of users tell us that their AGP 8x cards work on 4x only motherboards. This is likely due to the fact that some AGP8X video cards are in fact universal 1.5V capable AGP3.0 cards that can run on either 1.5V or 0.8V (remember, AGP speeds are backwards compatible, only voltage incompatibilies cause problems).

Hrm.. how do you find out your mobo specs without opening up the tower to look at the actual card?

Once I find out I can post my specs and we can see if the card is compatible.. I'll take it if it is.

I have found a couple sites that say that the videocard is compatible with 4x and 2x, but I'd double check your mobo specs first, just to be safe.

yep, which means it uses 1.5v.

When I checked the slot information for my mainboard I got:

Super card, but I really don't want to buy something that isn't 100% compatible with the mobo I have.

I'll let you know if i come across anything that you can use. Or you could upgrade your mobo, but i'd say go to PCI-E if your going to do that, just because it's newer.

Jah, my comp it about 4-5 years old now.. might just spend a little extra and get a whole new comptuter

well, since i didn't pay for it, i figured i'd offer it to like-minded individuals at a good price. If i cant find a buyer soon, i'll just throw it up on e-bay.

yeh my comp just turned 4 years old

im still gonna keep running it as it is for another year or so, and then im upgrading cuz i need to start using autocad and rendering shit...but im upgrading only my mobo and ram cuz hdd i got and same with vid card. make sure when u get ur mobo, that u have both pci-e and agp slots

yeah basically. I don't really see a point in it, unless you aren't upgrading your videocard right away.

It'd rather go with an SLI board. That way you can bridge 2 PCI-E cards together.

well for me at least, there is no need to upgrade to a better card right now, but if i ever do want to upgrade to a pci-e card, then ill have that option open to me
