Binary Finary - The Lost Tracks

With dance music currently overwhelmed by house music, there is extremely good news for the trance scene. Binary Finary return with their long awaited artist album The Lost Tracks.

It has been eight years since the masterminds behind the seminal trance epic e1998 mysteriously disappeared. The Binary Finary duo, aka Matt Laws and Stuart Matheson, were caught up in internal power struggles with other members of the Binary Finary group, over the all too common music business problems that surround huge hits, such as e1998.

Now out of the dark comes eThe Lost Tracksf - a selection of 16 tracks created by Matt and Stuart during this 8 year sabbatical. Binary Finaryfs passion and ear for great music is reflected in this album. Known of course, for their classic trance sound, this album shows a maturity and range of styles which will surprise many. Two years alone were spent just on sampling and creating original sounds for this album, as well as on material for forthcoming DJ sets and Live PAfs. The end result has made this well worth the wait!

eThe Lost Tracksf is an album that takes a journey through trance, electronica and progressive sounds. These tracks have never been heard before and some are still in the old skool state in which they were first created. The album marks Binary Finaryfs historical and emotional journey, from their time in hiding, to their re-emergence as producers to be reckoned with.

This album is upfront and available as download only. It comes in both mixed and unmixed formats for the die-hard clubber and digital DJ alike. There is also the choice to download selected tracks from the album - something no other artist is doing. One of the most exciting tracks on the album has to be the Binary Finality Mix of the seminal classic e1998- never heard before and a fitting update of this amazing track!

The Lost Tracks will be available the 1st of May 2006.

This is most excellent news indeed! Josh summed up my sentiments nicely... Binary Finary also played a big part in getting me into this crazy hedonistic genre we call trance!

Good thread RJ! Who would have thought we would actually be discussing trance on tranceaddict.com!

My goodness they actually made something else other than their endless re-edits of 1999? - yes I know Niterider and others are awesome too.

1999 is within the top 5 greatest songs ever made.

Definetly gotta check this.

Wow...brings back some great memories! The boys of Binary Finary were one of the first producers I started listening too. I'm pretty excited for this! Thanks for sharing RJ!

1998 is a staple in Paul Van Dyk sets.
