TOTA Golf Tournament

Since the golf courses have opened I've been thinking it would be awesome to have a TOTA Golf Tournament. If there is enough interest I will look into setting this up.

Most courses will have a tournament and a dinner afterwards. It would be a fun day out on the links with friends. I was thinking it would be a best ball or scramble format with possible prizes if we can get enough interest.

Dude, exactly....my swing sucks too and I have a half decent set of clubs picking up dust which I've used once.

I think that intoxication should be a condition of entry.... whatever substance you choose.... personally I think a combination of coke and shrooms is ideal for golf but everyone has their own tastes.

There is no need for intoxication.....at least one person in the group has to be able to count.

I suck at real golf, but my buddies and I always have fun playing the Golden Tee machine after consuming a copious amount of beer at the pub.

I use to be a master of the Golden Tee...haven't played in a long time.

If there are at least 30 people interested in this then I will look into it further regarding times and costs.

Most courses will have either 9 or 18 hole tournaments. A 9 hole tournament will be less expensive and not as grueling or depressing for some of us

i know.. theres to many trees on golf courses these days and a lot more after 20 beers!

That might work, but I've had a lot of success combining ether, methamphetamine and golf.. so I'm sticking to it!

Great idea, but I doubt you will find 30 people to commit to this, and if you do at least 25% will drop it at the last minute.

If there is not enough interest then so be it. Most courses require at least 25 golfers. If some people just want to come for dinner then we might be able to arrange something with the golf course.

Its a long shot but heck I'm willing to put the time in to organize it because I think it would be a fun day out and give people a chance to maybe meet some of the TAs that they haven't met before.

For those interested...I've done a little research and for 18 Holes and Dinner it will cost approximately $65.00 depending on weekend or weekday and depending on the number of people.

I was thinking a course in the Oakville or Mississauga Area as Toronto will be too expensive.

Possible date? (So that I can try to get time off)

And beats?
