-- Ultrasone's?
Ultrasone's?
There's not too much information that I've been able to find about thier headphones so I'm hoping someone here could tell me about them. I want to know the difference between the DJ1 PRO's and the PROline 2500's.
Also, if you have one of those and also have HD-25's I'd like to hear your comparison between them. I'm looking for information on build quality, sound quality, how well it kills external noise, and how light it is in comparison to the HD-25's.
well, the DJ1 PRO is the same as the PROline550, just FYI.
They are VERY different beasts! The sound quality on the DJ1 PRO is great...probably around the same or better than most other DJ headphones of the same price. The bass on these things is FANTASTIC! You could play really really low frequencies on these and they will not distort at all...very impressive, and very good for DJ'ing.
The PROline 2500 is an open-back headphone, meaning that the sound isolation is not as good as the DJ1 PRO. While this makes for a more airy and spacious sounding headphone, you will have noise leaking into your ears. The sound on these is incredible tho, and it uses titanium coated drivers for maximum precision.
While they are great for home/studio use, I would not use these for DJ'ing. You can check out the PROline 750, which is exactly the same as the 2500, but uses a closed-back earcup design.
Still, if youre looking for purely DJ headphones, save the cash, and go for the DJ1 PRO
the hd25's and ultrasomes are both very nice individual preferance i would say.

it's too bad the dj1 pro looks so gay.
reminds me of a cheap stanton product or something. a shame since it's really a high-end product.
they've been using BT in their advert campaigns lately, but he's not wearing the dj1's. not sure which model he's wearing?
Oops, I guess I forgot to mention I have HD-25's that's why I'm wondering how they compare.
As far as small are huge I prefer small, because I used to have the Sony 700's and I hated how heavy they were.
I don't think they look that bad.
these headphones do look gay and plastic. i wonder how good they'll hold up compared to the sony mdr-7506s though, which are apparently metal underneath so they won't snap that easily. i'm thinking of maybe getting new phones soon and i'm kinda between the ultrasone dj1 (not pro) and sony mdr-7506.
Im having the same problem with headphones....
been reading alot on them, but hard to find reviews by dj's etc...
im looking into the technics rp-dh 1200s (metallic ones) and the HD 25s...
can someone sort of compare the 2 if possible as i will not be able to try them b4 i buy as im getting them from overseas...
and also, are the 1210 versions of the technics better / shuld i look into them..
thanks for ur help
Nic
This may be a silly question but is the material on the ear-pads different on the 2500's/750's? I'm asking this because in the pictures they look a little softer/fluffier, but I guess it could just look that way because it's a different color?
actually, they are softer! Theyre a kind of material...almost like a terry cloth towel....very comfy!
So they're probably not that great if you're gonna be sweating yeah?
