Planning to buy CDJ1000's

sorry guys i didnt know where else to ask.. im kind of stumped.

im planning on buying new CDJ1000's to spin house music... I can get 2 MK3's for $2600US, is that a good buy?.. or should i just skip the whole idea of MK3's and look for MK2s..

I cant find any good places to bargain on buying these. I live in Canada and theres not many stores that sell these, and if they do its for 1500$+ 15% tax.. so im kinda f'd lol.

you guys reccommend anything? should i just go ahead and buy the 2 MK3's for $2600 or is there any better place to look.

thanks!

Unless you want to play with MP3 discs, like 40 tracks or so per disc, then just get the MK2s. I mean most clubs still have MK1s or MK2s anyways, so if you do get a gig in the future, you wont be needing MP3 discs, but a caseload of burned CDs. The platter has been improved a little bit, but I really don't think the MK3 is worth getting over the MK2, kind of like the MK2 vs. the M3D or MK5 with Technics turntables. Lots of people are content with the Tec MK2s, and the differences aren't really worth the extra $$.

nah i dont but i have about 3000$ canadian to bust on players.. id rather not get 200's and want to sell them for less to find something better in 3 months, it would be a hassle.

whats a good price for the CDJ1000 MK2?

In my opinion, if you are just playing/mixing tracks, you won't find a better bargain than the 200's. Do you plan on scratching at all? If yes, get the 1000's, If no, get the 200's.

whoever i asked they told me to jump to the CDJ1000s, because they end up getting them sooner or later. and i have the money right now.

I went through djmart.com and they offered 2150$US for 2 MK3s and a pair of Sony MDR7506 headphones. Bargain?

I wrote back and he said this.

by the way it's an online bussiness to so thats pretty good cause you can have confidence in the purchase.

Hello, thank you for your enquiry. We may have the Mk3 early next month but pricing on the Mk3 will be much higher than the Mk2, at least for the first quarter or so. If you can wait for a few months for the first price drop, then it may make sense to wait for the Mk3.

anyways i might just get mk2. sshhhh even the 800's were awesome!
