Second Knights of the Old Republic any good?

I enjoyed the first one but Im hesistant on buying the second one because I heard of people saying it is just the same as the first and not much different. Anyone have opinions about it?

i thought it was awesome. yes, its very similar to the first one, but is that a bad thing? if you loved 1, definitely get 2.

I thought it was a good game. Very similar to first one but cool story none-the-less.
its all about stasis field and force lightning
Rush into a crowded room paralyze all the guys and then zap them to death.

Yes, KotoR II was very much worth playing.

The story really pushed it forward and if you played the first one, you'll definitely appreciate the subtleties of the seconds.

It really sucks that it was rushed towards the end though..

While KOTOR2 is certainly enjoyable, it's a poorly polished, unfinished and buggy product. The story has several continuity errors (especially towards the end, where pretty much nothing makes sense). Not because it's complicated, but because the devellopers obviousely were trying to go somewhere with it and were never given time to finish. So you end up with a bunch of secondary story lines that go nowhere (like HK47's story). There's also some bugs in the form of bogus conversations and frequent crashes.

On the plus side, if you really enjoyed KOTOR1 you'll probably see past all the bugginess of the game. Personally, I don't regret playing it through to the end.
