thats actually a pretty good analogy...however, both are essential against very bad outcomes. i don't wear earplugs, i don't go to clubs as often as i did in the past though, but i do remember the sound levels at US9 were way to high and i wish i had them.

Heh.

I don't really agree with that, I find that earplugs actually make the experience better. I hate the feeling of my eardrums being torn apart.

I've gotta get myself another pair of ER20s, since I gave my last pair away... Foam ones suck.

I completely understand why ear plugs are used - just as condoms -
But i also completely agree with Jeff

no shit. last time i was there sold me on fancy earplugs. it was so loud, my ears actually hurt in the club, and my ears hurt for the next two days.

ER-20s FTW! they are amazing!

man... it's just too friggin loud between those pillars. i'm kicking myself everytime I forget my ER20s.

Posted by Mako on Apr-26-2006 21:24:

I wish I could buy them from stores here in Canada. Unless such a thing does exist...any ideas?

at least you can stand to stay there for awhile, if I don't have earplugs, I cannot stay in that room for longer than 10 minutes, after that it's just too painful. not only that, but I find it so loud that I can't really hear the music/words...it just all becomes a very loud "noise"

I've learned my lesson. I always keep ER20s in my car as a backup plan should I forget my custom ones at home, although it's the first thing I check I have with me when I leave for a club.

There are a few threads on earplugs, which usually end up in a discussion about ER20s and where to get them. I believe somebody mentioned in another thread that there is a store somewhere downtown that sometimes carries them, don't remember the location though. Try running a search.

Which is why I don't require them

check any of the other 20 threads on them from the past 2 months.
As stated before if ordering them ask them to mail them in a normal envelope so they only charge you 1$ shipping rather than in the box.

As for forgetting them, I have one set in my car at all times and the another set attached to my key chain. I'm using them almost daily now so they are always close by.
