Tim Sweeney (DFA Records , beatsinspace.com (NYC) )

Moving to New York in 1999 to study Music Technology at New York University, Tim Sweeney quickly established a radio show on the university's station, WNYU. After meeting Luke Jenerr at the East Village Club "Plant" , Tim met Tim Goldsworthy who was producing Luke's band, THE RAPTURE. Tim knew about Mr. Goldsworthy from his work with U.N.K.L.E and Mo Wax, which had always been a huge influence on Tim since he started Djing in 1995.
Eventually, he started interning at the plantain studio, where Tim Goldsworthy and James Murphy (LCD Soundsystem, e.g "Daft punk is playing at my house...") were producing and starting their record label ,DFA. Tim found himselff in a lucky position, being able to learn from two amazing producers who were more than willing to share their knowledge.

Tim's work with DFA led to playing the saxophone on the DFA remix of Radio 4's "Dance to the Underground", as well as mixing the DFA cover CD for Muzic Magazine in 2003 and doing the mix cd for the DFA compilation #2 with Tim Goldsworthy. Since 2003 Tim has been working at Rockstar Games as their soundtrack supervisor, putting togheter the music for their games such as Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas...
