audiophile 2496 help plz

im sure theres a simple answer to my problem.....

but i recently reformatted my computer...reinstalled everything, including the latest drivers for my 2496 and everything shows up fine.

i can get sound great from both normal windows applications and FL/cubase via delta ap 1/2 and delta asio output options...but i cant control the volume at all through the delta control panel!!

the volume controls in FL and for example, winamp, work fine...but i cant seem to figure out why none of the controls work via the control panel

I have the Delta 1010 and I cannot control the volume from the mixer control panel, I just used the normal volume controls in applications.
I dont know if you can use the mixer control to adjust the volume, maybe someone that has managed to do it can tell us?

yeah id appreciate it if someone could let us know how to do it

You mean thru the Mixer/Monitor tab on the Delta panel? Do you have the output in the Patchbay tab routed to the Monitor?

tried that, but i cant get any sound...i can only get sound if i use wavout 1/2 and select maudio delta ap 1/2 in the windows audio properties

still cant figure out what to do....anyone?

Monitoring is used on outputs 1+2 I dont think you can adjust the volume from the mixer control panel.
It says in the manual the mixer control panel has no gain, I think it just monitors the volume levels of the computer and music software, I think its a quick reference to how loud your volume is outputted to your monitor mixer.
I hate reading manuals but I just think its there to tell you how loud your volume is, hope this helps.

Did you try a reset on your Delta panel? I had a problem once with input on my Emu soundcard, and a reset fixed it.

anyone have a solution? i want to be able to control my voluma via the delta control panel!!!

Route the output in the Patchbay to Monitor Mixer.
Then in Windows Audio Properties > Audio try changing M-Audio Delta AP 1/2 into M-Audio Delta AP Multi.
I have it set that way and all works correctly.

Thanks a lot Farris

All the volume on my pc can now be controlled by the Delta 1010 mixer; I can now run the two sets of monitors.
I have a cheaper pair as reference for playing wav files from fruity and the better pair just playing music from my music software.
I can work this way until I get a mixer to switch between monitors, once again thanks a lot Ferris.

Ps, I hate reading manuals, but sometimes you have too even though you still dont have a clue what to do.
Someone showing you is a lot better than reading a dam boring manual, videos are great for people like me, god help me if I get a dam virus
