Radiohead @ Hummingbird Centre, 6/7 & 6/8/06

Lucky ducks!

They announced the Radiohead North American Tour - 9 cities, two dates in each one. I might try to head up to Toronto a day early for Lawler if I can get tickets - never seen them live before and I've heard they're amazing. Fackin' Cali - why on earth do they get three shows and the rest of the SW/SE gets di nada?

Oh sweet.

I've seen them three times, but not the last time they were here. They're amazing musicians! Thom Yorke forgot the words to that song off the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack, and he knocked over the microphone stand in disgust, and held up his hand (palm up) and everyone in the crowd was singing it, so he kicked the mic back up and picked up the singing with the help of the crowd. Everyone was cheering.

Awesome!

I was going to get to see them (for free) when they were scheduled to come to the Molson Amphitheatre...then there was the blackout. I think I was more pissed at missing Radiohead than the two tires I blew on my car that night.

I will definitely try for tickets, but it will be almost impossible to get for such a small venue.

I've seen them twice and will try every time they come to Toronto.

This is great news!!! It'll be my 3rd. time seeing Radiohead and they are an incredible band behind DEPECHE MODE of course.

Anyway, I wish that they were playing at an outdoor venue like the Molson Amphitheatre in June instead. WOW, what an incredible outdoor show they had at Molson Park back in August 2001.

I totally remember the blackout incident and i was so pissed off too.

They friggin postponed the show until October 2003 and moved it too another venue at the Skydome. The acoustic just doesn't work at SKYDOME!!!

it's going to be rediculously hard to get tickets for that...i tried to get tool tickets for their show at the hummingbird center not too long ago and they were sold out almost instantly....i can't even imagine what it will be like for radiohead...

^^^I'm going to try for tickets to this here in Michigan - usually being in another state helps. That and waiting in line in the most obscure ticketbastard location you can find....my friends got kickass Tool tickets via a TB at a convenience store.

If I end up being unable to go, I will put them up for sale here.

Anyone else get lucky this morning?

I managed to get a pair for the Thursday show.

Scalper tickets for the lose.

Pickin up two hopefully in a couple days for 250 each. I will not miss this show.

Concerts this summer lined up...

The Strokes
Pearl Jam
Broken Social Scene & Bloc Party
Radiohead
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Madonna - Montreal (hopefully)

expensive summer concert year.

There are a tonne of badass concerts coming to Toronto this summer. The Broken Social Scene and RHCP shows will be sick. Radiohead will just be beyond words...

Unfortunately, I wasn't one of the lucky people who scored tickets to the 2 soldout shows at the Hummingbird Centre. However, I'm still considering options like Craiglist, Ebay or a ticketbroker before the dates.

Anyway, just in case anybody wants a live bootleg of the first concert that took place on May 6th in Copenhagen for their new tour. Here it is:

I paid alot for them, I just really dont want to miss it this time, so this is pretty much the last time i spend loads of money on a concert this summer.

hehe yeah I remember, he was wearing really light blue jean material, that looked almost white. I thought he looked like a drunken elvis. I was in the penalty box on the other side of hte arena, like halfway down. Were alright seats, craiglists for the win! Wish I had brought a camera to take pictures with.

haha, you know ive seen them three times, all three times they closed with "Take It Or Leave It", oh, I was calling out for him to sing "Clampdown" by The Clash and I wanted to hear "Hawaii Aloha" so badly and when he did I was loving it. Actually "Take A Wild On The Wild Side" by Lou Reed was pretty bad ass too, didnt know they covered that song. Oh, I found a studio version of some song they never released called "Rhythmn Song" thats really good as well, was hoping they would of played that as well.
