well i spoke with gabe on vinyl and he told me that arena is a no go this time to much money and stuff i belive he told me where the venue was but .. mind being all fucked and zoned out didnt remember and i dono would like to go but 40 $ to much man

I'm thinking I'll check it out. Apparently a smaller crowd of 400 than what was originally planned.

I enjoy the Global dj Broadcast, so I'm thinking a live set will be pretty good. I'll defo pass on the d'n'b, but house isn't always bad either.

mostly house and dnb? schults played for 3 hours... he played amazing tunes. but his mixing was sub par. no trainwrecks or anything, just not much mixing going on. track after track, nothing special. could have been a better turnourt. i think the afterhours had more people in attendance...then again...i was spinning there. hah. i could barely open my eyes and was quite wobbly. ahh, good times sitting in the car most of the night getting more and more wrecked. ohh yess. always raising the bar!

I have definitely had better nights in Winnipeg. I showed up with the gf around 2:30_AM just planning to having out Chez Stephen's for a while. Got there to find out the Markus gig was upstairs. Great... wish I had known before. Saw Reggar and Lex who told me Markus had started playing and the set was good so far but it was pretty empty upstairs and everyone was actually downstairs. $30 just to see Markus at an empty venue? I think not.

So headed downstairs. Music was not that great until Lex came on and spun around 5_AM. Great set Judge... albeit a little short. So a little after 5:30 Stephen says we're moving everyone upstairs! Great. So get up there to find like 12 people gathered in a circle doing breaks and jungle! Ah! Get me the fuck out of here!

About 15 mins later Stephen says we're going back downstairs, just throw some CDs on the deck and chill. So hung out for like 20 mins and went home.

Could have been a nice night if there weren't 2 events on top of each other. Very disorganized on Groove2004's part. Stephen - please show those boys how it's done.

Markus was fucking awesome ... Killer intro .... wikked track selection .... prob one of the best if not definately my favorate trance set i've heard in the city. He must have played closer to four hours!!! Great guy too! I wish i had brought some recs for him to sign.

The crowd on the other hand was a different story. The were a few regulars and a few WPGTAs ... rest of the crowd was either kids, narcs or ppl i haven't seen before. Definately a poor turnout. Sound quality was good but other than Markus I couldn't really care for the rest of the lineup.
