John Digweed interview questions

Alright folks I'm interviewing John Digweed tonight and I thought I would give you all the opportunity to include some (intelligent) questions.

Posted by milos on May-06-2006 01:38:

no questions needed. just tell him to get back to his roots and stop playing that electro-minimal-tech-bleepy-whatever-crap sasha fed into his brain.

werd

haha that just made my day.

I guess the same old bs:

Favorite venue and why, about his latest productions, etc..
Does he think that his style has changed over these years, how does he define his genre...
Can he define a typical John Digweed production...
Whats the plan for the future...
Why dun sasha and digweed spin together as much as they used to before...
the most under-rated or over-rated(unlikely to get an answer for) producers/tracks these days...

Posted by rabbitjoker on May-06-2006 02:20:

I'd like to know if he ever goes skeet shooting with his brother or if his brother ever spins tunes with him...

ask him if he's ever recieved "special" treatment because people thought he had downsyndrome.

BTW - this is a serious question.

You could add to it:

- What's it like to come from a family where both brothers are so successful in their field? What about growing up made this happen? etc, etc.

All those are really good examples of what NOT to ask him.

Ask him if he has any pets, and what their names are.

Ask him what he drives, and why.

Nice one, thanks

I think that's about the only serious question I've seen on here lol

Ask him how it has been trying to seperate himself from the "Sasha and Digweed" image?

Posted by petro on May-06-2006 04:31:

Ask him:

How he would compare the North American scene today, to 2002 (during his delta heavy tour) and where does he see it going in the near future?

actually , the exact opposite question.

Lately you've been spinning a much more crowd pleasing entertaining version of house music, what kick started this?

I'm interviewing him in Taipei....so I'd like to focus more on the scene in Asia than North America
