I thought it had a decent story, and some of the best (if not THE best) fight scenes of all time.

And if you haven't played completely through FF7, you can not appreciate the movie.

i thought the fight scenes were intense as hell, but since i never finished ff7, the story kinda blew over my head. i was still glad i watched it.
