Anyone with a Pioneer CDJ (800 or 1000) PLEASE read this

My cdj800 has been working fine ever since I bought it about a year ago. Today I was mixing and things seemed normal until I tried to put in a cd, the cdj didn't read it (mind you i just played a cd in it a track before)...so I figured something was wrong with the cd. I tried another and the same thing happened. I ended up turning it off all together and starting it back up again, but it's doing the same thing with every cd and I have no idea why. It seems like it is trying to read the cd...waits a little bit...and then rejects it. May someone please help me with this? What do I do?!

anywayz back to the CDj problem .. i think ur lens is dirty or its screwed .. either way .. i think its cost a bomb to have it replaced.

Actually the same thing happened to a friend of mine not too long ago. I suggested getting a lens cleaner but he bypassed that step and just bought some new ones.

That sucks man... hopefully it's just a matter of cleaning the lens. Otherwise, is it under warranty?

sounds like a laser or lens issue. hopefully you are under a year and it is still under warranty... Definately take it to a Authorized Pioneer service center...

And you still made the better purchase vs a TT, buying needles and shit cost money, as well as having to have your TT calibrated, vinyls wearing out. etc...

sounds like a lense issue take it to be serviced.

Never had to replace your carts or styluses?
Never had a faulty stylus or cart to begin with?

i dont know about your issue, but i have to warn you about pioneer customer service. HORRIBLE!! my headphones broke and sent them for replacement.... 3 months and no response from them. they always transfer me to the 'manager' who is apparently just a voicemail who doesnt call back.
