MAJOR Pet Peeve: Toilets that flood/clog

This may be gross to many, but, honestly i hate under-par toilets
that seem to flood EVERY fuckin time its used

Case in point: my downstairs toilet floods at LEAST 85% of the time,
and its not me man. ANYONE who uses is inevitably does it.

Sorry, this is 4 yrs of frustration that neede to vent

I hate poorly designed, so-called environmentally-friendly-water-efficient toilets, that don't release enough water, making you flush ATLEAST twice each time you use it.

A bit of a pet peeve, but there's nothing like one of those things that shoot out gas to unclog the bowl to fix it right up.

Doesn't happen to me too often, but I'm always afraid of it happening! When I was in grade school I always used to be afraid of the toilet flooding, so in public places I used to always have done up my pants, gotten my things and had the door unlocked so I could flush the toilet and run out. A few years later I found out that when I was really small the toilet overflowed when I went to the bathroom at my parents' friends house. I'm guessing that's probably what started the fear! I'm okay now though! Haha

I'm actually surprised that you posted this today; I had this problem in the morning when I was in a HUGE rush and I got really angry because it very nearly screwed my schedule over. It's always the lower level toilets that screw up

Get an auger and clean the damn trap on the toilet. If that doesnt work, its time to buy a new toilet.

I don't recall any bad experiences with toilets clogging but my major pet peeve is people not bothering to flush in public washrooms.. Like who wants to walk into a tiny stall and the first thing you see is somebody's piss or worse... gross!

talk about flooding, last summer I lived in res, in the older complex, one of the showers kept getting clogged up at least once a week..and the housing ppl ignored my suggestions about checking it out

well the next day after I moved out, it flooded so much that it reached some of the rooms on the floor and they had to change the carpets in the hallway..

LOL! I still do this - the loud flushes kinda scare me..

There is this one toilet at work that has a long screechy whistle when it flushes.. its so distinctive that its etched in my mind.

on another note - whats up with those plastic cushion toilet seats!? Glad there arent many of those around anymore!

um I totally have one! I wanted to get a new toilet seat when I moved into my apartment so I picked that kind, I thought it was luxurious, bahaha.

My boyfriend still curses me about it.
