Tiesto @ Club Blue // Dallas,TX // 05-25-06
In case you didn't know, Tiesto will be performing at Club Blue, in Dallas on thursday MAY 25th.
For more information: http://www.bluevip.com/may25
Tickets are 25 bucks and available at www.groovetickets.com
I am not from Dallas, but i will be making the trip for the show, just need to know from local people how is Club Blue, and if anyone knows about an after party since the show will be over kinda early, at least for me.
Can't Wait
blue is ghetto. if youve been dying to try out your new bullet proof vest, this is the night to do it.
Why would Tiesto wanna play at Blue ???
Do you think the same crowd would go watch Tiesto ?
who knows, but i live about a block away from that club and i get to watch the unique crowd that gathers there any other night -- its not a good thing.
Ok, thanks Dirk, I think i will still go, i'll take my chances, i'll make sure i wear a bullet proof jacket. Just one more thing, is the neighborhood any different, or it's just like the club ?
the neighborhood is downtown. downtown definitely has its bad elements. its not horrible, but just kinda watch yourself there on the weekend
when I went to ATB @ Blue, I walked up to the bartender and I was like yeah uh vodka redbull. He looks at me stunned and goes, "Jesus all night you people know exactly what you want to drink, and not wasting my time." I started laughing and he goes, "No seriously, I deal with retarded ghetto people every night."
Blue went down the shitter, I'm surprised it's still open to be honest and in somewhat good condition (last I saw). But yeah, don't think that those people are smart enough to know a "special event night" means that it's not their type of music. They're going to show up with their crew and hopefully not pull a 1-8-7 up on anyones ass

jajajaja ... is blue really like superdome during katrina? daaaammmn i didn't think of seeing tiesto, but that comment really made me feela lot better ....
the crowd was [surprisingly] fine for PVD earlier this year. i wouldn't worry about it.
I went to Blue in August of 2003 and Feb 2006 for PvD and it was perfectly fine. Its probably a ghetto/hip hop club on every other night of the week but both nights I went for Paul there weren't any problems.
Exactly.. Blue is a ghetto hip hop club on the weekends when there is not a big name trance/techno DJ. I've seen ATB, PVD, and many others at Blue with 0 problems... then again I dont go to blue when there isn't a big name spinning. Tiesto will pack the place with trance lovers and college kids. you wont have a problem.
Having to pay a lot of money to get in = no ghetto people SO yes I would go see Tiesto @ Blue. There should be an EDM crowd there anyway instead of the regulars
I am less worried now about Blue, thanks to the last four posts, I appreciate everyone's help.
To reiterate, I also always hear that Blue is so bad, but went for ATB in fall of 04 and PVD earlier this year, and both times the crowd was fine, if not really good. The thug element doesnt show up at all to these shows, and the crowd actually seemed more upscale and amicable than at other places like lizard lounge and Seven.
I'll be there.
I went to PvD at Blue back in Auguest 03 and Feb 06 and saw no thug element. When there long lines and big covers the people robbing liquor stores and/or collecting welfare tend to go elsewhere.

For those of you who've been to previous gigs at Blue, When you have a will call ticket, do you have to be in the same line as everyone else or is there a shorter line for will call tix.
Thank you.
I found the will call line to be longer or equal in length every time i have gone there
if you can, drop by the club around 9pm to retrieve will-call tickets...have a few drinks downtown...then skip the lines later, when you really want to enter.
That's a good idea iclone, thank you.
It should be a great party. I decided to go watch him @ the Warehouse Live as well. Everyone who posted on this tread has been very helpful. Thank you TX TA.
just for info. Blue is not open on thursdays so the ghetto element dosent come there so have no fear of that also the parking lots are well lit in that area and there will be full security. will call and people with tickets will have preferential treatment as opposed to people who are buying tickets at the door. but the best advice is to arrive early as it is expected to be a full capacity show.
I've gotten will call for both PVD and ATB at blue and never had to wait in line. I get there around midnight.
BTW...anyone wanting to meet beforehand, our group'll probably be at obar -- next to the neiman marcus on main street...about three blocks away from blue. PM me for contact info
