15GB iPod for sale, all accessories [pics inside]

...except the headphones because I threw them away in disgust.

Anyway like the last time around, I only used this iPod in my car with an iTrip. The iTrip has since failed on me and I haven't used the iPod in a few weeks, but just put a new 21hr battery in it. I've never dropped this iPod but it has some regular wear and tear scratches on the chrome from being in my pocket at times.

As stated, comes with everything but the shitty earbud headphones.

Asking $150.

I wanna sell this thing ASAP so I can get XM Radio for my car (my father has an account so I get one as well for $7/mo). I can drop it off to you or meet you somewhere in TO on Saturday before hitting Sonic.

They're not that horrible, but clearly from a phone. Quick and dirty, but gets the job done.

I would say the same, but I want him to sell it. They're not SO bad. Just I don't like them personally.

yea man good luck in selling it and all but theres no way Im not gonna speak out on that hunk-a-junk. Its already cost me nearly 700 bucks to keep a 30 gig ipod intact.

paid nearly 600 with warranty for the first one, HD died. went across toronto to the only apple store in the city and exchanged that for an exact duplicate but had to pay 100 more just so id be able to have the same option to return it incase something happend again. and what do you know? amazingly enough it has. an error I cant get rid of thats blocking me from uploading music, charging it, or listening to music. basically it wont function. good job apple

/end angry ipod rant

Nah, this is just about the same price that they're going for on eBay, give or take a few bucks.

Also thanks for the story there Rapidfire, you dipshit. Nobody in their right mind would spend $700 trying to keep a goddamned iPod working. The reason I'm selling it is as I said. I had only used it in my car, and my iTrip broke, and as such cannot use it in my car anymore. It works FINE. No issues at all, the 3rd-gen iPods are the best ones of the lot.

Not all iPods are built equal, as the 4th-gen is where they started to become gigantic piles of shit. I still have a 1st-gen from 2001, a 5GB model, that works perfectly fine and has NEVER had any issues at all even after being dropped it countless times by my youngest sister, as she is the one that uses it now.

I appreciate the kind words though, champ.

YESS Jenn!

I love my little guy!! iPody is so great!! I cant imagine teh last year and a half w/o him!

iPod user FOR LIFE!

Love them.

A great deal, I hope you sell it.

I picked up my 4gig Mini (2nd gen) off a friend for $100 and it's been dropped twice from a good height, still runs like a beauty

So for $50 more you can get 11 more gigs...thats more than fair.

sorry vertigo but i don't think i'd ever buy a used ipod

too many unknowns: is the battery almost dead/used up? has it been dropped? does it glitch out?

i actually own 4 ipods. i usually use each one to death and when they finally break down i just go and buy a new one. so far the nano is awesome b/c the flash memory really conserves battery life... the hard drive based ipods like the one you're selling really suck b/c the batteries drain so fast (hd's have moving parts) and they flake more with temperature changes (like being in your car outside in the cold).

maybe in a few years, the hd based ipods will eventually be phased out as flash memory becomes cheaper

the new nanos will be same price but double memory
4gb nano = $250
8gb nano = $299

I just lost 48 IQ points by reading this.

Read the first post in this thread, it answers every single question you asked, and then some.

hey it was just a fair warning to anyone thats going to own one. yours or otherwise. the ipod is a glitchy peice of shit and I know of more than a few people that had to return theirs because of technical problems. and Im talking past generation here.

sorry for telling it like it is. im sure not all of them are bad but the majority of them are.

If you were trying to sell something that works perfectly fine and has never had any issues, would you like it if someone were to come and be like "DON'T BUY THIS ITS A PIECE OF SHIT I KNOW BECAUSE I SPENT $700 ON A $300 PRODUCT OH AND ALSO MY FRIENDS HAVE FRIENDS THAT HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THEM GEE GOLLY DON'T BUY THIS THING IT SUCKS"

Didn't think so, but thanks.

the first post was a joke. I think any sensible person would know that. the others were just talking about past experiences with the ipod. when the 30 gig photo came out there was no way you could spend under 500 for it without warranty. I actually trusted apple and they screwed me over...twice.

and I never said dont buy it, I just mentioned that if you do, dont be suprised if technical problems that follow. thats all. a fair warning, no? there are definetly positive aspects about the ipod (large storage, click wheel, design, etc) but everyone knows them so I didnt think they were really worth mentioning.

again, good luck with the sale and all just be weary that ALOT of people have had problems with their ipods and that if youre going to sell one people should have a general knowledge about it.
