15GB iPod for sale, all accessories [pics inside]
...except the headphones because I threw them away in disgust.
Anyway like the last time around, I only used this iPod in my car with an iTrip. The iTrip has since failed on me and I haven't used the iPod in a few weeks, but just put a new 21hr battery in it. I've never dropped this iPod but it has some regular wear and tear scratches on the chrome from being in my pocket at times.
As stated, comes with everything but the shitty earbud headphones.
Asking $150.
I wanna sell this thing ASAP so I can get XM Radio for my car (my father has an account so I get one as well for $7/mo). I can drop it off to you or meet you somewhere in TO on Saturday before hitting Sonic.

want me or shaya to take better pics of it for you?

yea man good luck in selling it and all but theres no way Im not gonna speak out on that hunk-a-junk. Its already cost me nearly 700 bucks to keep a 30 gig ipod intact.
paid nearly 600 with warranty for the first one, HD died. went across toronto to the only apple store in the city and exchanged that for an exact duplicate but had to pay 100 more just so id be able to have the same option to return it incase something happend again. and what do you know? amazingly enough it has. an error I cant get rid of thats blocking me from uploading music, charging it, or listening to music. basically it wont function. good job apple
/end angry ipod rant
People, he is trying to sell this thing. Complaining in this thread helps nobody.

A great deal, I hope you sell it.
I picked up my 4gig Mini (2nd gen) off a friend for $100 and it's been dropped twice from a good height, still runs like a beauty
So for $50 more you can get 11 more gigs...thats more than fair.
sorry vertigo but i don't think i'd ever buy a used ipod
too many unknowns: is the battery almost dead/used up? has it been dropped? does it glitch out?
i actually own 4 ipods. i usually use each one to death and when they finally break down i just go and buy a new one. so far the nano is awesome b/c the flash memory really conserves battery life... the hard drive based ipods like the one you're selling really suck b/c the batteries drain so fast (hd's have moving parts) and they flake more with temperature changes (like being in your car outside in the cold).
maybe in a few years, the hd based ipods will eventually be phased out as flash memory becomes cheaper
the new nanos will be same price but double memory
4gb nano = $250
8gb nano = $299

| Originally posted by VERTiG0 Also thanks for the story there Rapidfire, you dipshit. Nobody in their right mind would spend $700 trying to keep a goddamned iPod working. The reason I'm selling it is as I said. I had only used it in my car, and my iTrip broke, and as such cannot use it in my car anymore. It works FINE. No issues at all, the 3rd-gen iPods are the best ones of the lot. Not all iPods are built equal, as the 4th-gen is where they started to become gigantic piles of shit. I still have a 1st-gen from 2001, a 5GB model, that works perfectly fine and has NEVER had any issues at all even after being dropped it countless times by my youngest sister, as she is the one that uses it now. I appreciate the kind words though, champ. |
