listening...i like the percs. The first pad is really cool. This reminds me of something markus schulz would spin. The bass is really nice, maybe make it a bit louder though. hmm i'm not sure if i like the little vocal/ speech thing. i really like the guitar thing in it though. Overall this a really ethereal chilled out track. I don't really have any negative comments except for the vocal/speech thing - i don't think it fits very well @ all.
Keep it up and good luck w/the labels.
Andy

Hey!

Great work with the percs.
The bassline is nice.
I don't like the speech, throw it away! Would do much better without it imo...

Melodies are great, I like the guitar.

This sounds very much like an 'Electronic Elements' track...
Good luck with the realeasing

@Andy French, Speactra: Thanks for your comments!
Im not sure about the vocal, maybe i throw it out of this version - it better fits @ the Chillout version!

cheers,
S-Tune

Hey,
Nice groove, panned effects are cool, the water becomes annoying, the sea sound imo, and cut offs to sudden also, nice guitar, I hear some doru samples over here?
In overall, nice chilled Trance, keep me updated .
Kopi =o.

Kick needs some more punch. Not necessarily low end, but more presence. Beginnings pads are nice -- rhythmic and dreamy. Good melody coming in especially with that nice guitar. The vocals are unnecessary in my opinion.

Nice chillout song here. Cool feel to it.

@kopi_luwak, azndragon0613:
Hey thanks for your feedback!

I will lower the volume of the "water".
Well, ill post the chillout version in the next few days...

hey there!
this is really cool! .
damn this tune is cool .
really like the pads in this.
percs are good.
i dont really like that "bassy sound" feels like too much off an distraction or something.
do like your guitarr thing.

the speech thing is kindoff cool i think .
the wave fx in the back is nice.
really like how everything flows and fits together!

like the arpish thing too .

this tune is really nice!
no wonder it got to be on radio .

Posted by Elektro_Tek on May-14-2006 21:09:

Pretty nice track this! Got a nice chilled feel!

Posted by Four_On_Four-er on May-14-2006 22:37:

A very warm track with loads of groove and pad elements to boot.

The guitar and arps are great.

The bassline evolves, mutates into a proggy vibe... I like that.

The vocal of the moon landing seems... well... a bit forced to me... It could just be me.

THanks for sharing. I enjoy your work... Sunset is still my fav.

Great track! Nice mlodic house music is exactly what I love.

at 2:27 when the bass is taken off it looses all the energy it had since the begining, and the samples at that point don't sit right aswell.
The track itself is missing a story, a personality. Consider including a few promelodies connected to the vibe of the mix.

But all and all it's a very nice work.
Keep it going man!

Yoel

Thanks S-Tune, links working now...

Awesome mate, you've done it again...another corker
very different sound to your others, but liking it

at around the 2:29 - 2:30 mark there is a female vocal 'Ahhhh Ahh'
kinda sound, you should sample that a bit more (Lovin It), think that goes really well with the break down but it should be emphasized (volume increase) it seems to appear again every so often but very faint

I think the track gets going and sounds best at around that point 2:29
and to be honest the bass needs to be a bit deeper or heavier(it's a bit light).

Taking nothing away from you though mate, it's a TUNE!!!!!!!

Well done mate, hope it does well!

Any news on 'Sunset 2006' ?????

Posted by e-x-p on May-22-2006 12:57:

P.S.

At 4:09 there's another break down (waves) & rift the track gets filtered with the bass drifting in and out, but at the point 4:53 where the bass comes back in, it doesn't sound right still being filtered, it should come back in and hit you, to lift you right back out of the break down and give energy back to the rest of the track.

if that meakes sense...lol

Posted by S-Tune on May-22-2006 13:11:

@Dj Yoel Culiner, e-x-p:
Thanks for your detailed feedback!

Yep, i know what you mean @ 4:53 - it comes 8 bars later with "full force" (when the sample ends...)

Overall i tried to keep the chilled mood of the original chillout mix - i could have done this mix more energetic but that wasnt my intention...

thanks for your feedback guys, its really helpful
cheers,
S-Tune

Arrow Proggy goodness

I'm digging the perc work for this tunafish. Bass needs to be raised on volume. Now, the lead and guitar melody are super cool, I can definetly see this being spun by Markus. What did you use for the guitar? Sounds really catchy. Have you sent this out to any labels? The Speech is really crappy lol. If I we're you I'd replace it with a woman on an intercom in an airpot, something like "Flight 32 to L.A. is departing in 10 minutes, passengers must commute on gate 46, thank you JFK airport."
"Oh shit I spilled coffee on me!"

Yeah, something like that. This song reminds me of travel for some reason. But yea you should get some airpot chatter (a woman)

Posted by Arudius on May-22-2006 19:15:

I second, third, fifth...whatever...I octave the notion of the percussion track. I really like the kick actually. It's not too overpowering (I'm referring to the original mix, not sure if it's changed in later revisions). The layering of the hi-hat tracks, and messing w/ cutoff freq. and pitch-shifting those high percussion loops is totally hot in my opinion. Us piano players dig hi-end stuff.

I don't mind the bass. It's very DnB style, but I really enjoy it. It's not the typical up-beat trance bass. Blends nicely. The waves are cool. Maybe it's just because it's a nice day, but I enjoyed it when you took them away, simply because it made me like them when they came back.

Going to the V in the harmony towards the end of the track really grabs the attention of the listener. In trance, even though I know that it's meant to be slightly redundant for that trance effect, I think always changing something JUST when it starts to get boring really helps keep the listener interested. You did an ok job of that. I personally like the chill vibe of this track and I think that for the feeling you were going for, you achieved it nicely. I was sorry to see it just end.

Keep up the good work!
