Advent Children: who's seen it?

I just bought it today. ACTUALLY a good movie made after a video game !!

For those who don't know, Advent Children is a movie about the events after a game called "Final Fantasy VII". The CG animation, story, and action are probably the best i've ever seen in a digital movie.

It starts kind of slow, and for those who haven't played the game will likely be very lost.

i thought it was a good animation..the story was okay. ive never played FF7 though..so it was a bit confusing

You'd probably get a lot more out of it if you played the game all the way through.

Got it the first day it came out...watched the Japanese version, liked it a lot, watched the english version, loved it even better (probably b/c I didn't have to keep reading frickin' lines of text and could keep my eyes on the fast paced action). Voice acting was pretty solid IMO, fight scenes, although at times was super fast (screens switching 5 times every couple secs or so), was pretty damn awesome. The music was brilliant as ever, Nobuo Uematsu rocks!

yeah i'd never played the game before, so i made sure to play it all the way through a couple of months before AC was released

It's a great movie in my opinion. Don't find many minuses in it. I give it 9+ out of 10, which is a good score. I loved the original FFVII game ALOT too, probably the best game I've ever played (once again: IMHO).

Cloud's sword reminded me of Siegfried from Soul Calibur.

i actually liked this movie a lot. i knew i was gonna enjoy the graphics/animation, but i actually enjoyed the story too.

Yeah, that's right, I got my girlfriend to watch a dorky CG Anime based on a Video Game with me... And she liked it.
