gotta love those "senectitude" drivers
"senectitude"is another word for old age.
So today before work I was driving along..windows down..warm wind blowing through my hair...enjoying the gorgeous weather and listening to great tunes (Danny Howells and Nick Warren..Tristan I still have it
) when I stopped at a red light.
This "senectitude" driver pulls up beside me and honks her horn. So I reach over and turn the music down...only to hear her scream "How the hell can you drive with your music so loud like that?? How the hell do you expect to hear sirens and other things that are going on on the streets??? The rest of us would be moving out of the way while you would be just driving without a care in the world..turn that music down for christ sake!!"
I was so shocked I was like..."umm I'm sorry
"
as I was so caught off gaurd I didnt know what to say. After I drove off I thought...WTF??? and blarred my tunes again for the rest of my drive to work. What a buzz kill and bad start to the day!!!
I hope I never act that way when I am old
p.s got the word from my homepage at work..the "did you know?? Link.
they post some interesting things as they had "senectitude"is another word for old age posted which I found funny after encountering that lady today.
unreal.
anywho just wanted to share as I got biched out my listening to tunes too loud..and the funny thing is I always here sirens over my music
Ya, happened to me Kelly... I just gave them the finger and drove off.
I'm scared to ask, at what age does senectitude begin?
AJ
That woman should be locked in a cage of male silverback gorillas that are in mating season.........for telling you to turn down Nick Warren vs. Danny Howells
LOL!!!!!!!!! oh man kelly. crazy old people.
I never had the problem of my music being too loud before, cause only two speakers worked haha, but now with the new system, its like 100 times louder and with bass. Sometimes at lights now I turn it down when theres an old person beside me cause I feel bad, well depending how crazy the beats are lol. if its house, even the old lady would like it, she might even get out of her car and start dancing who knows.
once though, me and my friend were driving down some residental area at 50km/h, of course blasting my usual tunes. I look ahead and to the right, this old guy, super evil look on his face looking right at us. so were looking at him, hes looking at us, keep driving, still both looking, rigth beside us, still both looking locked in a starring contest with this guy, still super evil look. then me and my friend look at eachother after we pass "dun DUN DUUUUUUUN!" then we burst out laughing lol. weird situation out of no where. maybe you had to be there haha
"I was so shocked I was like..."umm I'm sorry "
can so picture you saying that. poor kelly. crap start to the day for sure.
senectitude drivers are sometimes abit BITCHY apparently lol
OH OH! and one time this old guy pulled out right in front of me, i was doing the speed limit, had to slam on the brakes, and he gave ME the finger LOL!!! nothing to do with music being loud, but i dont care!
lol
i just laughed at the situation as i always do haha
whahaha! u should have told her - senora, mind your own business! :-)
I've always heard sirens over music. Not to mention even IF you didn't...you should ALWAYS be checking your mirrors anyway and be aware of your surroundings...so if by chance you didn't hear the sirens, you'd SEE other cars pulling over AND the source of the sirens themselves.
let me guess she was driving a Buick

I usually have my music loud to the max while driving and even in red lights don really care if someone's lookin or something ,jus keep on bobbing my head to the beats and drive off fast when it turns green.
noone have had the nuts to complain though , hehe..
u got powned by an old guy
USE YOUR MIDDLE FINGER AND NOT YOUR MOUTH
I would have simply said,
"well i heard your horn didnt I? End of Discussion"
Then i would have turned the music back on with a grin on my face
I would have prolly been spitefull and turned it up louder just to further annoy her - after making some smart ass comment in reponse
God thats annoying - and completly uncalled for IMO.... total buzz kill, ur right Kells.
why is it that certain elements in our society have nothing better to do, and feel the need to take their shitty lives out on everyone else?
Its sad
Should have turned your music up louder and flipped the lady off and peeled out ! ..... ppl should mind their own buissness but then i'm an asshole!
nobody over 65 should be allowed to drive.
