Bittorrent takes a whole load of reading up and confusing shit to try and understand. Whatever you're desperate to download you're going to have to be patient and read through the first link i gave you.

EDIT\\ i feel like being nice, PM me your msn address and i'll *try* to run through it with you

Use Azureus as your bittorrent client, it rocks!

Azureus eats up memory like no other program I've used on a regular basis. uTorrent is the way to go.

bitlord ftw

This is true, blame the Java VM! I tend to only download over night when I'm asleep so I don't really notice. The other thing is I have a pretty grunty system so I don't tend to notice even if I am doing other things while it's running.

What I will say about Azureus in its favour is it's simple to use, I love the UI and has lots of stuff that I haven't really seen in other Bittorrent clients. But in saying that I haven't tried another client in quite some time

+1!!

1. download bittorrent
2. double click on what you want to download
3. find that file on your desktop(if thats where it saves to)and double click on it.
4. pull up bittorrent and click start.
5. wait for file to finish downloading, then unrar it if need be and enjoy.

Also , dont be a tosser and not seed. Leeches are bastards.

Azureus works fine for me. Its using 25mb of memory at the moment. In contrast, Firefox is eating 65mb. But then I have 1.5gb of RAM so it doesnt matter

Me too, altho i do notice it's a bit heavy at times. And it's not complicated at all. I really don't think you need to read a lot of confusing shit to download a damn torrent

i have utorrent. I always get an error when i try to download anything so I give up.

Well its pretty simple and straightforward in theory, and if it works straight off you're happy, but its when you start having to set up ports in the software then portforward these on a router a lot of n00bs give up before they start
