The Dome - a club - sign the petition

Do you want the Dome to be club, or for a huge club to be built, to rival the size of the Ibiza giants? Sign the petition, and pass it on.
Here are some pics of the Dome on NYE. Apart form the slightly quiet sound, it was incredible.
At 50 metres high and 300 metres wide (twice the size of Wembley Stadium) I THINK this would make the biggest club in the world, correct?
It is the only thing the Dome has done which made a profit, and it worked twice.

Only good thing for the place turn it into a club, but they need a trance night for definate there, either way though it will be housey or rudebwoy UK Garage.
either way I'm off to sign it
It can easily be both. ON NYE there were 3 tents plus the main arena (trance).
The garage fans were happy, as they had all their stars in front of them and were with their own crowd, a good few thousand.
Only 50,000 were there on NYE, but it is twice the size of Wemblew, and that SEATS 80,000 people, and that's around a pitch! This place could hold well over 100,000, ten times Privilege.
Yeah the Garage fans would keep themselves to themselves, and hopefully like big events with loads of arenas will keep away the shitty elements of some other electronic music scenes, either way I hope they get the place, and I signed the petition
Looks like a good idea for the dome (for once!)
Jon
defo a top idea... they could hold festival type NEC things in there! bit further than NEC but fun anyway
The only problem being, they would never get enough people in each week. The NYE events are special events and so attract a lot of people, every week though, you just wouldn't get enough.
Barry
I wish it could, and now that the goverment it basically giving it away it, would b possible, so i live in hope
Well i travelled from Middlesbrough to go down to the Dome on NYE and it was awesome. Such a quality building going to waste when you think MOS made such a HUGE profit!!
WEll, i was there too, and it rocked. MoS have shown an interest in buying it b4, but there isn't enough appeal for a weekly thing! They wud have to charge loads, and it would become unpopular.

they should make it into a huge secret nuclear missile bunker, then what countries would dare poke fun at the dome?
Shush ste, dont tell everyone, it is supposed to be top secret
Damn the dome as a nuclear missile bunker, ha, how funny is that
I hope nobody finds out about this! mu ha ha ha haaaa
Woops

wOOOOOt NYE looked amazing
but it's true they won't get enough people on a weekly or whatever basis to continue making a profit. It would be ideal for events but what would it be used for in-between them
Guys, who ever said they NEED to fill it out with ravers week in week out???
The kind of profit they'd have made on New Years Eve, a huge rave every 2 months would be enough.
The rest of the time? Hire it out to live bands at an inflated price. It's not like the NEC and other arenas around the country struggle to find artists or fill the place regularly. If they did, there wouldn't be so many of them.
Simple. It can be like a bigger NEC. The NEC does it, so why not the Dome?
NYE Was a good night but a shame abou having to q for the toilerts.
Anyway the shitty goverment would more likley turn it in to big aslyum center with every thing the they wanted in it.
ive signed! saying use the dome! if the sound was quiet, a few insulation blankets is much better all round than a whole new building! no'ing us we'll prob build one anyway! grr
signed
I went wit my bad self and signed that petition!
