Just wanted to give you guys a heads up on this one. I'll be playing from 10pm to 2am on what's probably THE night in SA for the upscale crowd.

I'll post some more info when I get it.

That's the way it works in the service: they'll give you all the money you could ever need to make it to gigs all over the place, and then steal all the time in return. Depressing.

maybe i can make this one.... ill be just getting back from vacation though so i will have to see.

good excuse to go to the Suede for the first time

suede is really nice. i like it there a lot. i won't be able to make it out that weekend though. im going to be exhausted and im getting back in town on a thursday. no way i can make the drive to san antonio the very next day

Thanks for the well wishes. Its good to see the money crowd coming out in SA finally. Its also good to see a venue with a "No Hip-Hop/Rap" policy...because of it they have the biggest Saturday town.

I'd be afraid to play there. I don't have any mashups or remixes that they'd like.

At least when you play remixes at Suede, they're from respected producers like Kaskade, Lexicon Avenue, etc...not the Johnny Vicious / Klubbjumpers b.s. they play elsewhere.

Yeah that's Anthony for you. I have no idea how he does it.

Seriously...I've learned so much playing there.

I have so much respect for that guy. Not because I especially like what he plays, but the fact that he can keep his integrity and still make a living off of DJing in a town like San Antonio speaks volumes.

Dude I might have to venture down to check you out, the last time I went to an SA club I was sickend with the format: Hip-Hop/Rap and then Darude. ha ha ha The funny thing is I knew the Dj that was spinning there and he told me that he was all about EDM. One of the kats with that local remix service or whateever they call it, KlubJumpers, or thumpers but any hoo. I was dissapointed, but then again, I am old school when it comes to my EDM. Its either house or trance, for years I had to play stupid fucking remixes of top 40 shit and rap crap on my show down in Victoria, so if I hear that shit in a night club, I leave.... end of rant lol

is this going to be a regular thing for you? I can't make it this time, but let me know if you are going to be doing future dates, I really want to give SA a chance, I love all the Latino's ladies down there

Its a one-off right now because Anthony is going out of town. I'm kinda the official "fill-in" guy at Suede right now, which isn't bad I suppose.

Anthony's done a great job there. He used to have to play one top 40 remix for every 2 good tracks, but now he does it about one every 5. Instead of stupid bullshit, the ladies now ask for Kaskade and Gabriel and Dresden.

Looking forward to this weekend. I went last Saturday to get a feel for the crowd and I was floored...the place was packed (capacity at 500) and I saw some of the most beautiful women I've ever seen enjoying the music.

Wow, is all I can say.

I will try my hardest to make it out there with some friends. I have always liked that place...just didn't care for the vibe when it first opened...hopefully it's better now. Regardless, I hope it's a good night for you Dave.

man, wish i could make it out this weekend.... you playing next weekend by any chance? i was thinking of dragging scotti out to the river house with me and we could drop in on friday night if everything goes down

Next Friday I'll be at Sky (Austin) and Saturday night I'll be at The Venue (SA) for that Hi:Fi show.

That would rule if you came out.

That would be awesome if you made it out. I could definitely use the support and its gonna be exciting playing Prog House in front of all those people.

dammit! work is ruining everything. sorry i havent been out recently, im trying but work is killing me.
