ok maybe the 360 can "face plate" replacements, i dunno, my personal opinion sticks to sleek black faced electronics....

No, doesn't have to look like an iPod. I don't really like the look of the xbox either. But the PS2 was a hell of a jump from PS1. This just doesn't look all that different from a PS3. Sony has some really nice designs in all of their other merchandise, from very simplistic, clean lines, to the outrageous, so I just think they could have done a better job with this.

i really doubt that picture is anywhere near scale... Unless the wii's disk is some sort of really small disk...

Actually, it's very close if not exactly correctly scaled. The Wii plays DVDs. If you look carefully, the insert slot is basically the same as any other of the consoles.

I think ps3 (black) is way too similar to the ps2 design. Except with slightly more curved surfaces.
