Fighting SO We Can Be Free

Braveheart, you are my Braveheart,
Take me in your arms,
You are my Braveheart.

Fighting so we can be free,
Fighting for our dignity,
Fighting for the truth and then,
We can go and live again.

Fighting for the way that's right,
Fighting for our truth at night,
Fighting up until the dawn,
He won't stop until he's won.

This is where he's going to start,
This is my one true Braveheart.

Braveheart, you are my Braveheart,
Hold me in your arms,
You are my Braveheart,
Braveheart, you are my Braveheart,
Hold me in your arms,
You are my Braveheart.

i've still never seen the whole thing, but i was watching for a bit today and was reminded of the fact that i think the scottish accent is one of the hottest things i've ever heard.

I'll bring the DVD to your place (or you can come over to my place). It would be an honour to experience someone seeing it for the first time!

(and no, this thread was not a pathetic attempt to get dates )

If you've seen Braveheart, you've seen The Patriot. Just replace "Scotland" with "United States" and you're golden. And vice versa.

LOL I hate how right you are, in a way...but Braveheart > Patriot imo.

Wallace's supporting crew were so much better than Martin's...also, the Patriot had Heath Ledger FFS

I agree.

EDIT:
I'd like to correct the above quote by replacing "TOTAs" with Jake Gylenhaal. It sounds less ghey that way.

Without a doubt. Scots have always been victims of oppression. US--> no comment

Once i noticed this was on via the TV Guide channel, i couldnt resist.
Been at least 15 times now

"In order to find his equal, an Irishman is forced to talk to God."

love that line.....

and is this is Braveheart quote?

"All men die, not every man really lives."

Posted by pyro264jb on May-15-2006 15:45:

This was just on tv last night.
This is my all time greatest movie with Shawshank a close number 2.

Yeah, I think this is when he's talking to Bruce, one of the Scottish nobles - the slimey one that tried to kill him fighting for the English and then changed sides because he felt bad.

I think I've seen this movie too many times, lol.

Posted by Plump Funk on May-15-2006 17:43:

yes one of the best movies ever.

i remember meeting a guy in a club he told me he was from scotland, i replied "braveheart" he replied back with the whole freedom speech.

Posted by Dj Smitty20 on May-15-2006 21:45:

I think some people need to reread British History 101 and skip the Hollywood version.

Posted by riskytrader on May-15-2006 23:35:

I can't believe I have not seen Braveheart as of yet. I think I must be the only one ever. Okay this weekend I am renting it!! Jeez, I know how to bloody stepdance and my grandpa even went to the Uni of Edinborough but I haven't experienced Mel as a Scot.

Oh btw..there's a line in gaelic that if you say to a kiltsman they have to flash ya LOL! If I come across it again I'll post it.
