Vaccine @ The Gallery, Fri 16th June

Vaccine has been literally setting alight to the back room at The Gallery since it started back in February, packing the room out month on month with some of the most exciting and upfront trance lineups witnessed not just in London but in the UK.

Vaccine returns on June 16th with two massive headliners in the shape of Alex MORPH whos productions and remixes have made him one of the most sought after producers and DJs around. Touching down to headline the Vaccine room, Alex MORPH continues the Vaccine tradition of daring to be different with our lineups and providing the very best cutting edge music.

Joining him will be another massive production legend in the shape of Fred Baker who has been setting the pace in terms of the tech trance revolution over the last few years. His tunes consistently prop up record boxes of the biggest jocks around the world and his slightly tougher techier edge will be suited well to the later set at Vaccine.

Joining them will be the Vaccine residents in the shape of The Viceroy and Ben Beaton attracting huge praise for their consistent ability to keep the room rocking till the very earlier hours and rising stars Mat Lock and Joey V provide the support for another killer lineup.

cant make this one unfortunately, off to escape in the park.

See you in July though

All ive seen you post is to do with the Vaccine events, as stated in the promoter rules we ask that you participate in the TA Community or further action will be taken.

Thanks

I may very well go to this one. Alex MORPH rocked in brighton a couple of weeks back and it'd be good to see if Fred Baker's DJing lives up to his productions

You what?

Who is a 'decent' DJ from that list? Alex Morph? 'The Viceroy?' Give over.

Fred Baker is fucking awesome.

ok i'll rephase just for you Mr Pedantic:

"in fairness at least it's for a well known night (The Gallery) with well known djs as opposed for promoting crappy unknown nights in towns like Southend, Bangor or Dundee"

Yes but we are a community, not a place for events to get free advert space, ive no problem with people posting events when they are making a contribution to the rest of the TA Community, if all you do is post in your own threads about your own events then its a bit pointless

Don't you think?

You could argue that the threads themselves add to the community. Turnmills nights are always popular amongst TAs and djviceroy's threads usually have more posts than most other threads in UKTA. You're the boss though!

i'll be out for this.

in all fairness...without these party promotion threads....how many threads would there be in this forum anyway.

well i think they should stay, also nice that they offer concessionary entry but i can see your point.

And you qualify as being anywhere near 'decent' yourself? Don't make me laugh - I haven't seen your name on any flyers recently.

One day - probably when you grow up -you'll realise that people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

sorry to have caused problems, i do read this forum every day and see the posts on it and whilst i dont post very often i understand where you are coming from...

I am glad that you think we are doing a good job and that our lineups are worthy of some attention,

we put a lot of hard work into running this room at The Gallery, and whilst some think that its easy for us to do that we work our arses off to make sure we are bringing something different to the trance scene in London which inevitably helps the trance scene across the whole UK which cant be a bad thing imo

no idea about how he is as a dj, but he's got a number of great productions which i wouldn't mind hearing live.

alex morph is a shit dj

i saw him once and still enjoyed it, since i was twatted & kinda like most of his productions, but there was little-to-zero creativity (we're talking more self whoring than ferry here.. at LEAST 2/3 his own stuff, probably more), no direction & the mixing was ropier than a ropey thing. he gets the crowd going though so fair play for booking him

nevertheless, vaccine is a decent little event that attracts more attention than most nights around here; taking action against it just seems like moderation for the sake of it to me, especially considering how dead the place is normally. if anything i think the community itself should decide what gets allowed & what doesn't!

Posted by DJ Mikey Mike on May-17-2006 23:27:

Christ, it doesn't matter how established a night may be, the matter at hand here is that all this guy ever does is post threads about nights that he is on the lineup for. Why is this thread still even open? Anyone else guilty of doing this would have long ago been suspended. Fair play to jamie for picking up on it.

For way more reasons than I can be arsed to list. The only half decent thing about going to see Alex Morph play is the hilarity the ensues in watching him try and stand up for an hour without buckling under his own weight. Oh, that and the lack of dexterity which accompanies said effort. He is an awful DJ. This is a fact.

This is an absurd post for so many reasons. For starters, where have I ever said this? I havn't. And you won't have seen my name anywhere, because I have never had any interest getting my name on a flyer. Nor will I in the foreseeable future.

The irony here in playing the ever so shit 'oh your a nobody so what the fuck do you know' card is that you have succinctly managed to capture your own fate. Whereas I have no interest or intention of futhering what I do for my own enjoyment, you ever so clearly do, yet will never amount to anything. Unlucky.

Posted by Grrrrr on May-18-2006 03:11:

Heh, gotta love it when a DJ looks more fucked than you do (edited myself out)

Posted by isoterra on May-18-2006 03:33:

it's not about how established the night is... otherwise people would be defending the gods/crasher spam. it's about the fact that there are people here who actually give a shit about it

ie. you havent got a clue so instead you resort to juvenile personal attacks. Well done.

Its not an absurd post at all and Im not playing the oh your (sic.) a nobody so what the fuck do you know card. I think its quite funny that youve immediately jumped to that very defensive conclusion and it speaks volumes about the type of person you probably are.

The trouble I have with many of the posts I see from you here is that you seem extremely happy to slate other DJs and promotions for not matching your own musical tastes, and yet Im willing to bet youve never even heard many of those even play (have you heard Viceroy DJ, for example? Im guessing not - yet youre quite happy to say hes not a decent DJ). My problem is that I cant understand why youre slagging off particular lineups or DJs (and I can go and find other examples if you like) from a position of ignorance; I find it very childish and pretty sad, to be honest.

As is the final sentence of your post, by the way.
