Talking please recommend some "true" trance

I've always had trouble finding trance music thats stays true to the meaning of the word trance. By this I mean music that does not focus on some epic melody, huge windups and break downs, but instead creates something of a hypnotic symphony of sound that slowly builds and fades away, its essence being exposed through repetition. The music does not neccesarily need to be repetitive, or lacking a central theme, but it should convey this unique trance sound, that does not imitate classical music, rock, house or anything like that. Some tunes I consider to fall into this category (some to a lesser extent) are:

BT - Mercury & Solace
Sugarglider - Slow Motion
Albion - Air
Jam & Spoon - Stella
Ambassador - The Fade (Oliver Lieb Mix)
Natious - Amber
Amoeba Assassin - Piledriver
Archive - Numb (Nick Muir Mix)
Ashtrax - Digital Reason
Astral Projection - Aurora Borealis
Bjork - Kindness Kind (Delikate Imposter's Mix)
U2 - Ultraviolet (Mercurio & Paul Mix)
Blackwatch - General Dynamics
Classified Project - Ressurection
Epsilon 9 - Lifeformation
Fade - Heaven to Heaven (96 Reformation Mix)
Orbital - Nothing Left (Breeder Mix)
L.S.G. - Into Deep (Club Mix)
Max Graham - Bar None
Paganini Traxx - Zoe (Timo Maas Mix)
Planisphere - Deep Blue Dream
Private Tase - First
Quadran - No Air
Ritmo - G-13
Sasha & Holden - Bloodlock
Shmuel Flash - Chilling Moments (Bedrock Vocal Mix)
Sultan & Tonedepth - Sagres
Valentino - Flying (Sultan & Tonedepth Mix)
Paul Rogers - Lazy Monday
G-Pal pres GHOS - I Can See the Lights
Weekend World - The Word
The Light - Panfried (Mind Over Matter Mix)
Third Man - Solar Cycle

Can anyone recommend any other tracks, DJs or live sets that would have this sound?

You would probably get along well with that guy who did the "Guide to Electronic Music" on di.fm . I know I agree with him.

IMO, true trance = psytrance/goa trance or other subgenres that have a bit of a psy feel

Most epic trance and uplifting progressive trance (the ASOT stuff) isn't trance at all.

Examples of Trance:
pre-2006

E Razor - Mantra
Push - Strange World (2000 remake) (best track of all time)
Planet Heaven - Nautical Bodies
LSG - Netherworld (Oliver Prime remix)
MIKE - Sunrise at Palamos
John '00 Fleming vs. Astrix - Third Time Lucky
One Man Army - Ballroom Dancer
Electric Universe - The Prayer
Sharigrama - Mexican Mushroom

2006

most of the Digital Blonde tracks (e.g. Casca, Tronika, Cyan, Requia)
Blue Planet Corporation - Alidade (Jirah remix)
Tristan & Lucas - Porcupine

That should be a start.

A good deal of the stuff on BT's Ima album is very trancy. I'd also check out PvD - Seven Ways. Also, just about anything on Platypus and Eye Q will give you good results.
