MP3 file names

Gahhh I'm so picky when it comes to my file names. They all have to have the first letter uppercased.

Ex: DJ Tiesto - Fly

If there is a remix it has to be like this

DJ Tiesto - Fly (Arcadia's 1 90 Returning Mix) None of these [] or {} and so on...

I got my hands on Trancemasters albums and they are all jacked. Plus i have a shitload more that need fixin. I can't stand like cd's when you copy them

01. dfbn
02. fgejnwrj
03. ewrterrwtb - qerfgr (egdhf)@@@

THE ARTISTS NAME FIRST AAAAHHHHHH!!!@#$ zen the title fack! Then i have to type in their name. You know what else tickles my eyebrow?!?!

Shitty_Artist_-_Crappy_Song_(fuckheads_Remix)

Bloody hell, i wish there was a program that does this for you...

/rant

EDIT: Yeah i sit here for hours fixing them. I have about...1500 more to go

Not true, when you buy mp3 off download sites they have all messed up names, half written words, abbreviations, weird symbols and all caps.

I'm also a nazi when it comes to labeling mp3s. I put them exactly the same way you do, except I don't capitalize the first letters of 'mix' or 'remix'

Posted by lcid on May-18-2006 02:19:

i used to be soooo picky about mp3 filenames, but it got to the point that i was spending wayyyyy too much time re-naming stuff, so i stopped. now my folders and files are in complete disarray and only semi-organized. if i want to find something, i just run a search... it's a lot easier than taking the time to make sure everything is named perfectly.

o yea i also hate when i mistake the word "club" for "dub" in a filename... i just got pwned by thinking this mix was a dub mix, but it's not... and the vocals suck... LAME!

You understand my predicament exactly. In 100% similiarity. This is exactly how I do things.

yup, i was the same way.

i still get a little obsessive compulsive with filenames though.

Artist - Title (artist remix).mp3

capital letter artist and title, lowercase remix. don't ask me why.

I think there is medication you can take if you have filename OCD.
