Who is going to TO

Who is going to toronto?
I want to go but i dont know any details. When are you purchasing the plane tickets, what airlines? W
We should all go together in one airplane, that would be cool.
I have a week of vacation which i have to use so that will be the best timing.

Hey you forgot me

Posted by MeLLyMeL on May-18-2006 17:09:

Here is the deal.

Labour of Love is @ Guvernment and Kool Haus [The bestest venue in N America] and that takes place Sunday September 3rd.

I was planning on going September 1-5

friday i'm sure there will be pre-parties maybe at a club somewhere
saturday is the TOTA BBQ where almost everyone goes. Would be a great time to actually meet the TOTA's in a not so loud environment
sunday is LOL
monday is some after parties [i am assuming] i didn't get to go to any afterparties for US9 which i wanted too so bad.. and monday night is recovery time before heading out on tuesday.

that was my plan not sure if anyone agrees but i u can never have enough time in Toronto which is why i want to stay a bit longer.

So, so far we can conclude that we will be going from sept 1-5th.
Besides plane tickets do you pre order tickets fot the event? also we should look at different hotels.
You said that you will be getting your plane tickets in june, before ordering could you tell us the flight#. and i think we can talk about this tomorrow during bowling.

Posted by Zewad on May-19-2006 00:23:

novotel is within walking distance... we walked to lol 04 from there...

kinda expensive though... but we had a shit ton of TAs there

we should worry aout the plane tickets in july.. hotels aren't a big deal cuz downtown toronto is HUGE and the last hotel i stayed at wasn't so bad.. it wasjust a lil close to the gay district.

but.. not a big deal lol. yeah pre order the tickets i guess.. line up hasn't even been announced yet. super funny that this thread is up but that's good.

looks like FLTA is invading TO!!

i doubt i'll be able to save the cash even with a raise. i dunno spending a grand in a weekend isnt exactly the best place my money should be going.

i do have other payments though (i.e. college loans).

Posted by Shemeck on May-19-2006 02:49:

so whenever you will start thinking about getting plane tickets and event tickets post it here so i wont miss it.
and basicly we shouldnt worry about hotel at this stage right?

Posted by MeLLyMeL on May-19-2006 03:04:

there's TONS of hotels in toronto. if anything we might miss out on hotels closer to the venue but our money > their money.

we can always cab it.

Not according to a TOTA...I always thought it was our dollar = $.79 Canadian but look:

http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...12&pagenumber=2

that's what I was going by.

Posted by Renzo on May-19-2006 19:48:

Well, the TOTA rounded up. Because that's what most banks would give you now if you wanted to exchange [if they're nice]. But the market is at 89 point something cents now.

Let me explain. Currency rates fluctuate every single second the markets are open. On top of that, foreign exchange banks charge a certain fee, if you will. That's how they make their money. For example, when I worked for a foreign exchange bank, we would tell our customers that the market rate for the American dollar was at, let's say, 1.21 for every euro, and that we can give them a rate of 1.206 if they lock in right now. Well, that sounds like they're getting a bargain, right? But the market was actually at 1.17 at that point, so we would make a killing.

Anyway, the point is, you won't know until you get there and see where the market is at. But the Canadian dollar has been strong for some time now.

1.00 USD = 1.12 CAD

ew. last time I was in Canada it was more like 1.5 heh. this sucks.
