Worst shower experiance ever! (Besides showering with 40 dudes in bootcamp)

So i go into the head plop a seat on the throne and drop a deuce. Clean wipe =

I start the shower as usual luke warm and i hop in. My lower body starts to burn and i scream "OH SHIT". I hurry up and point the nozzle down so the water isnt touching me. At this point i have small blisters from the waist down.

I have to get the water cooler unless i don't want any skin. You know when Bugs Bunny is getting into a hot bowl for rabbit soup? Yeah thats what i was doing to get to the knob. I keep turning it to the C which i assume is cold but yet it gets hotter and i back up think WTF. I speed back in there and turn it down even more, it gets cool enough so i can do my buisness.

After about 1 min mabey less it gets artic cold and i have a small seizure. When the convolsions stop i move forward out of the water and collect my thoughts. At this point im pissed i don't know what the hells going on, so i heat it up some more and everythings fine atm, ATM. As I'm cleansing myself i forgot i had a little sunburn on my sides and i scrub away. It felt like i took an SOS pad and was scrubbing in that spot for an hour! I stop, clench every muscle in my body and again, collect my thoughts. This time with teary eyes.

I get done and start to dry off again, forgetting i had sunburn and rub away with my towel. I'm pissed at this point i throw my towel down and start yelling. OOHHH yeah i forgot to add that the shower is like 500psi which nearly tears the skin off already, which i like but not with sunburn...

Gahh, anyone else have bad shower experiences?

I felt pain reading that.

I can honestly say I have never had a bad shower experience. besides the occasional "shampoo-in-the-eyes"

Oh and clean wipe FTW!

gotta say, the only shower experience like that i've ever had the was the 40 dude thing at field training.

other than that, just the occasional burn - but nothing to cause blistering.

one time when i was way way younger I fell asleep in the bathtub and when I woke up the water was yellow.

hahaha eww that must be so awkward. a friend of mine went into the AF and she had to shower with all the chicks...my immediate thoughts were "hm..."...but she said it was the nastiest thing EVER and you don't even get time to shave.

yeah, it's really not all that fun. although the girls got it made: 7-8 for 4 shower heads, vs 44 to 4 shower heads

The worst shower experience I've ever had??

I was 14, and puberty was already hitting me. So I get up one day horny as shit, go to the bathroom to take a shower to get ready to go to school. After I get done doing the usual shower business, I decide to let the stiffness out of my cyclops. A little while after, the deed is done. I walk out and and my mom comes into the bathroom to take a bath. Thing is, I left the little white guys stuck on the wall!! Globs of that shit on the wall! ugh!! I hear my mom scream and she's like, "Dios mio!!!(My god!!!!) So i'm changing and I hear that shit and then and there I realize what I had done. Thankfully my dad had gone in earlier so I just blamed it on him. He stayed quiet, I think he understood me

After 3 days of heavy drinking i spent the next 2 throwing up. I coudnt keep anything down except wery small quantities of water. Anyway on the second day of the worst hangover ever i took a shower which turned out to be quite a bad idea. 3 days worth of alcohol + 2 days of vomiting left me wery weak, that combined with the heat in the bathroom made me feel funny, so i stood up, got out of the bathtub and then found myself waking up in a bed with some dude in a white coat standing next to me. Apparently i collapsed and hit my head on the side of the bathtub (just centimetres away from a sharp corner). No biggie, just a minor concussion and a scar which you cant really see anyway, but it makes for a great story.

I have a few friends who came back from basic. they seriously said THEY WOULD GO BACK IF THEY COULD. All said that, when you are down there it sucks ass, then when you leave you wanna go back.

so what is your opinion of this?

I would love to go back but only if i had the same DI's. I get out and see all these "nasty" civilians it makes me happy that im squared away. But after a while being out you too become "nasty". Me and my buddys are always like oooo i wanna get out this sucks i don't wanna shave anymore yadda yadda, but now that im on leave...i don't shave i look like crap i put on like 10 lbs it sucks.

I look back and i think it's awesome, everyone should have to go through bootcamp. USMC bootcamp that is.

"It was the most fun I never want to have again" is pretty much what a lot of people at my encampment said.

mine was in Panama City, FL [Tyndall] in August...for 29 days. and we didn't have air conditioning for the first 4 or so - which really are the shittiest days to begin with.

so i went to bed, wet with sweat....and i woke up still soaked with humidity.

granted there were some fun things we did [obstacle course, leadership reaction courses, warrior runs], but overall, i just disliked my whole experience. but then again, i went to Field Training - not Basic Training. so what we did was a little different.

but in retrospect, if you think about it, we got 3 meals a day. got a LOT of exercise and time out doors. had places to live in. went "camping" for a few days. and we got paid for it. [granted it was less than $1 an hour...]. i was probably in some of the best shape of my life down there.
