Tiesto at Glow-DC REVIEW

Tiesto really spun a great set for his release party. My friends and I we're really excited that he got on the decks as early as he did (12am). Yet.. can anyone explain to me why he only spun for 3 hrs!? Yeah it was unbelievably packed but that was to be expected. Either way... Pete threw it down for the rest of the night and ended the evening w/ Ghost.

- Some of the tracks from Tiesto's set -
Matthew Dekay Vs. Proluctors - Let The Game Begin
Karen Overtone - Your loving arms
Cass - Little Bird
Radiohead - Everything In Its Right Place (Mike Foyle Bootleg Remix)
Fonzarelli - Moonlight Party (ended w/ this)
Solarstone - Like a Waterfall
Tiesto - Just Be (some mix but not the antillas)
BT - Somnambulist (ID remix)
Super8 vs Dj Tab - Helsinki Scorchin (Original Mix)
I think everyone was on board for flight 643

- and some from Pete -
Fischerspooner - Never Win
Benny Benassi - Who's Your Daddy (David Guetta Remix?)
Supermode - Tell Me Why
Dogzilla - Without You...I could hear this track a million times over on that sound system and it'd never get old
Supermodels from paris - Keep on (jc1 mix)
Motorcycle - TTD
Ferry Corsten - Watch Out!
Deep Dish - Dreams (Axwell Remix)

That's an interesting tracklist... certainly not anything like what he spun at the New York shows. And Pete's set looks great --- A Guetta remix of Fischerspooner followed by Benassi, and later some Corsten sounds fantastic. Oh, and I believe that 'Without you Near' is a Schulz song with a rather famous G&D mix, and the Dogzilla track is simply called 'Without You', but perhaps there's some brand new remix out that you're referring to. Regardless, I'm glad it was a good party!

Dairy products tend to go bad after a few hours when they are out of the fridge.

Boooooo! So much Tiesto bashing --- he's better nowadays, seriously guys!

ALMOST makes me regret not going out to see this. Pete's set sound wicked, though that's not surprising, I always like his sets.

I still need some time to get over Tiesto disappointing me the last two times I've seen him though.

its wasn't worth it since there was no room to move too packed, people spill drinks and people rolling there faces off and peole just pushing 2 fights broke out and also 50 to see Tietoasted if you didn't have a ticket wtf

the after tiesto was better

Actually, middle of Part 1 throught until the middle of Part 2 of Live at Avalon LA ISOS 5 2006-05-14 wasnt bad. Someone posted it in the hub. He def. has some energy building during that part of the set. Very PVD like in someways, especially since even PVD is not playing like PVD nowadays. The track at 52 mins is sick. Just pounding basslines one after another. But then it levels off and gets classic Tiesto'ish towards the end. For those who havent gotten a chance to download it, check below:

I definitely cant stand Tiesto, but this is prob the best set I have heard from him. Maybe Tiesto is pissed he wasnt #1 this year and wants to go all out.

^^^^^ you are correct, Tiesto knew he has a lot work to do if he want to reclaim the number 1 spot. It is going to be hard for him, in a way he is sort of in compeition with Ferry and Armin.

As for a playlist, glow doesn't list them. But in a few weeks time they will hopefully post part of the set on the site so you can ID the tracks from there. Go to ClubGlow.com and click on the GlowTV/Radio link to access past sets.

Another track Tiesto spun that night was Re:Locate - Rogue

Ummm i dont know but ummm i gotta get soe of those songs...i have some of them on cd's and i even own the one im looking for, i just forget what its called!

I had a good time... till when it got nuts...

Dj Kai was a good opener, keeping cool, Tiesto was really really good, playlist was awesome... he dropped some great songs from and not from ISOS5, but it was over packed!!! people should learn not to smoke... spilling drinks is not cool... people who pushed sucked big time... the p.a. got really really loud half way through... Lights were really good...

Best moments / tunes... "In your loving arms" and "Beside Me"

over all, Tiesto was awesome, people sucked and the speakers were a little to loud...

7.5 / 10 Fun but ehh...

I left early too, couldnt take but I would of loved to hear 643

I came down all the way from New York to see him...

If anyones drops the tracklist, please send it to me!

Anybody know anyother threads or posts about Tiestos night at glow?

Posted by Liquid Fusion on May-31-2006 05:00:

listen i still got a question about this D.C. thing at Fur.....does anyone know all the songs that were played or am i just gonna have to fucking live without knowing them

Posted by bigjimslade002 on May-31-2006 06:14:

youll probably have to live without knowing them.unless they post the set on glows site. then you can listen to it and get people on here to help with the tracklist. back in the day a tracklist would have been posted within 24 hours in a review, but sadly a lot of the ta's and glow regulars have been chased away(insert any number of reasons here) so just wait a bit and see if they load the set onto thier website.heres a couple of ids someone got:

Matthew Dekay vs. Proluctors- Let the Game Begin
Karen Overton - In your loving arms (Club Mix)
Electro-Prompt - Beside Me (Gothek D.C. Remix)
Fonzerelli - Moonlight Party
Lema & Moor - Everything Matters (Matthew Dekay remix)
Parker & Hanson - Let Me Be (Original Extended)
Solar Stone & Jes - Like a Waterfall
DJ Tiesto - Lethal Insdustry

hope that helps
