[REVIEW] Tiesto @ Avalon 5/19/06
Just got home a bit ago and was a really fun night! Great energy for both the outdoor and indoor sets! Met a certain very cool TA who asked me to only write nice things about her in this review heh(Enigmatik) and ofcourse chilled with the usuals (greggy), ran into andrea... Tiesto was pretty on point all night...Both sets were fun, energetic and he was pretty non-'i'm god' throughout the night.

i had to leave early, so i only went to the outdoor gig but it was a lot better than i imagined it to be; we even caught some rain, complete with beachballs. good crowd, good vibes, and a quality set (aside from traffic and just be). i saw tiesto twice two weeks ago and he still managed to drop some new tunes last night.

I had a blast at the outdoor event. I wasnt able to get inside, but that was fine by since I assume it was wicked crowded.
His mixing outdoors was pretty onpoint, and with the exception of Just Be, i thought his last hour was really good. I esp. like the last 30 min, and the encore was sick. I was surprised he played for 2 hours outdoors--helps justify the $30 ticket.
Kai's set was solid too. He really built it up and played some good tracks at the end which got everyone ready.
Nice to see Djy2g33 again....overall, the crowd was good and the vibe was really cool.

hey, i'm new to posting on this board.
last night was my first tiesto show and my second trance show ever (PvD at summerstage last summer was my first) but i had a blast. the energy outside was decent, but i had a much better time in the club. i was in the very front when he started! the dj in the club before him was pretty sick too. i thought tiesto had a good set, but i don't have much to compare it to and i didnt know like any of the songs haha. the crowds energy was fantastic. i'm definitely hitting up avalon in the future.
Tiesto was amazing, i had some friends who saw him at glow in washington d.c. coem all the way up to see this.
As for the venue, had 3 pick pockets come up to us...wtf
I didnt mind the 2am close, because the music made me dance so hard it drained all my energy out, i wouldnt go to boston to see any other dj.
the truly odd (and negative) was having the hip hop dj open before kai; there was zero vibe and i feared the worst for the night. hopefully, next time, the lyons group will plan a more musically uniform event.

anyone know the set the dj on 88.9 fm dropped between 2am-3am last night? im looking for that vocal song where that girls sings and then this electronic voice replies back
I had a blast and a half.. It was beyond my ecxpectations...
I Went to both the outdoor & indoor events (i had to cough up a ridiculous 100 bucks to buy my indoor ticket at the door 
) But i must say it was worth every penny 
Tiesto's set/crowd interaction was ecxellent. He droped some of my all time fav tracks. Really it was nothing short of fantastic!
I met djy2g33 (a love of a boy ) and his equaly lovable crew.
Gooooood times 
Enigmatik herself was a love of a girl... She's quite the TA and was mucho fun to attend an event with... If I'm lucky enough she'll accompany me (and company) again!

sounds like it was a good event. The vids and pics were awesome! I could of used a little more high energy tracks though
the set was nice, tiesto's mixing sucked , but people didnt seem to care
nice crowd too, unfotrunately there was no room to dance and even move
some videos from last night(outside and inside), files are large , but nice quality

Mass tpke ruined my night
Holy shit it took me 7 hours from new york city to boston because of a fucking truck on the turnpike, i took the scenic route through conn., amd mass, you Boston people got to get a little more excited i did not feel the vibe like a NY or Miami club, but I love your passion for hating me and NYC shirt that I wore, got there just as tiest was playing, getting into the club was a mess but I fought my way in, Avalon sound system is great, impressed with Tiesto gereat night overall, big shout out to broiler

This show seemed a lot more open then glow... 
Inside was much better than outside...the crowd the set much better...amazing how Tiesto can play to thousands of people anywhere he goes but it seemed like poeple were more worried about talkin to one another or meatheads grindin on girls and dancing like a-holes...
as for inside...set was awesome..mmm 1 or 2 trainwrecks by tijs(the norm)...it was really crowded but if u are complaining about that then dont go see a big dj anymore cause that is how it is going to be all the time
im sure that a lot of people can agree with me when i say that this night brought out the worst in avalon management...
