Trance listeners and drug movies
I noticed that in movie threads alot of peoples fav movies have drug usage. Now im sure its because of the trance scene deals alot with drugs and people use them, they watch drug movies.
Now i don't do drugs as many of you probably don't either. But i love movies associated with drugs. Some of my favorites:
Fear and loathing in las vegas
Blow
Trainspotting
Formula 51/51st state
Scarface
Clockwork orange
Requiem for a dream
Spun
etc...
Is this because of trance music?
Discuss, i'll be back in a few. It's time for some NFS most wanted!

i hated formula 51. worst samuel l jackson movie ever. i just recently saw human traffic for the first time, you should definitely check that one out
A clockwork orange isn't really a drug movie, unless I'm missing a whole subtext.
Plenty of awesome movies don't have a drug theme too though. And there are plenty of shithouse movies that do revolve around drugs.

i was just about to make a thread about requiem for a dream cos i saw it last night and then I saw this
. One of the most depressing films ive ever seen... Hard to watch towards the end
I think that there is something that drug users can directly relate to in drug films and thats why we tend to like them maybe more then they deserve... In general they are more on target then most films as they relate to youth culture and perhaps thats why most people on here (who are generally under 25) like them.
I thought human traffic was complete dump... Cant see why anyone likes it. It was just a gigantic cheeseball and its only the fact that its completely based around drugs that makes people like it... Its a shit film otherwise imo
