Arudius - Fall Apart (Original Mix)

This is a track I did recently. It's my first attempt at doing stutters, etc. Critical reviews are highly welcomed. Even if you hate it, let me know. :P

Fall Apart (Original Mix)

PS. I have to confess, this is only my 2nd time ever writing lyrics. I went a little overboard with the rhyming.

Everything is well done, very sweet and I like the melody. But in my taste its too popish, especially the lyrics (sorry!). Im sure it can be a pophit! Good luck!

has some nice elements but its not my prefered style and sound.. the melody goes but never gets to that beautifull euphoric vibe. it tries and come close but not quite. sounds clean and popish...

P.S. Many of my friends (whos not tranceaddicts) love it!

I assure you I'm well aware of the things about it that are most likely annoying to some and much of the song, at this point (especially my horrible excuse for an interlude :-P ) is not pleasing to my ears as much as it's just emberassing to listen to now. But that's what learning is all about. I'm proud in a sense I achieved a good vocal with my vocalist, and I'm happy that I achieved the beat exactly how I intended. Though I must confess, it was almost a straight emulation of the beat from Southern Sun...at least it was what I originally intended.

I'm currently relocating but I just came in to Absynth 3, Reaktor 5, and Pro-53. Where normally I'd have to use Reason w/ Logic, and occasionally Ableton Live to do all of my sound design, now I'm going to be learning some REALLY cool software! So, hopefully that will help yield better sounds after learning the software and putting my imagination to work in some patch building.

PS. I would very much love to cut an entire album with Tina (the vocalist). Where we'd have all the time in the world to do vocals instead of a 30 minute vocal session at 9am. Heh

It`s not annoying or emberassing at all(!) just more pop than trance. And I hope you`re proud about it anyway, `couse you should!

Akia

P.S. Yeah, Tina has a nice voice!

hi. this track is great, Trance or not this is great music. theres a little room for improvment but thats a mater of personal taste. I know how hard it is to write lyrics so props to you man. for next time use a harmonizer when you record the chours part. it makes a big differance. thats my 2 cents man.

keep it upp and keep in touch. Love Mavve

About Tina: She's a great vocalist to work with. She's always busy though, but I can arrange to perhaps have her sing for you. She's only local here in the Boston area though, and while I graduated, she's still a student in college.

We could probably work something out, as I can perhaps record the part for you, have various takes, and then iChat/AIM/email/FTP them to you. Other than that, for a small fee I could always give you raw vocals that I have of hers. She never sang the harmonies on my piece though, I just did a LOT of pitch shifting in Logic...like surgery. So, there's some good samples just out of this session with her.

She was slightly flat during the session simply because honestly it was 9am when she sang, and she's not a get up before 11am type of gal. But it's easilly corrected. I've been meaning to get Antares auto-tune, but the auto tune in Logic worked really really well. Plus, if you want to do crazy BT stuff like he did with Jan Johnston on Sunblind (yay my favorite!) then you really don't need perfect dry vox because you can totally tweak the hell outta them. Just let me know though! I will contact her and run the idea by her too.

Nice piece of music though it is indeed "very popish"!
Good arrangement!
I think youve made the best of the voice...
Like the gated voice at about 3:20.

Keep up the good work, nice trip beside trance

cheers,
S-Tune
