Question How much to Wash?

I have well water and the filtration system is being fixed so I had to wash my clothes at the laundromat. I haven't done it in a few years and I can't believe how expensive it was $3.00 for a regular load of wash! Anyone else who goes to a Laundromat how much do you pay?

Sincerely,

Financially Challenged

ya it's like $3 a load and then the dryer. its why i suggest wearing your clothes 3 days at a time. don't have to worry about underwear if you don't wear em, amirite?

that's cheap.when i used to laundromat, it was $3 to wash and $2 to dry

15 quarters for the quadruple washer (i usually don't do laundry very often so when i do... )

$.25 = 8 min in the dryer

I'm in CT. everyone is rich here except me.

I'm not rich

yet.

When I had to put up with that driving to the laundromat crap in college it was a rediculous amount of quarters. Would have been cheaper just to buy a washer and dryer. Luckily I saved most of my quarters by using pennies in the parking meters instead of dimes n quarters.

Your parking meters take pennies? That's weird

Hahahaha!!

I've been without a washer and dryer since May 9th now and I'm going crazy. I've been washing my basketball clothing in the tub and air drying it on the deck. I only have two clean white t-shirts left so THANK GOODNESS the new washer and dryer gets delivered on Wednesday.

A pic of my new babies:

I can't wait!!!

hate to spoil ur elation. My parents have those and the washer has a bad flaw. if you use bleach it can sometime not fully deploy so in your next load it ruins your color wash

about a year. the detergent/bleach payload is poorly designed. detergent tends to clog up the narrow tray dispenser spout and can cause the bleach to be held until a random time to ruin your clothes. to avoid this bleach has to be mixed with water and manually thrown in which can easily splash back on you since its a horizontal loader. btw, this has happened using the correct type of detergent and the amount specified by the manufacture. but maybe its just me. also the tray is directly above the door hinges which makes it easy to spill bleach on them and corrode the metal

Yeah, there are a few design changes slated for the machine, a new platform will be launched in the 4th quarter of this year and the dispenser is one of the areas that should see a change. Is the hinge metal corroding badly?? I can get you a new one if necessary!
