10 (or more) Reasons why House or Better than Trance?

are you just looking for a flame war to start?

its all up to prefernce.

not too keen on house, prefer trance

house is a bit weird for my liking

1) girls usually prefer house
2) less breaks in songs in house
3) house usually samples old disco songs or songs from the 80s
4) house is more groovy
5) house has been around longer
6) its easier to make house flow together with other house tracks
7) its revived disco
8) trance can be house sometimes but house can't be trance.. (maybe)
9) house tends to sample live instruments (something more familiar and common) rather then totally electronic elements for the main part

wow there is just so much wrong with that post!

Trance producers have run trance into the ground these days with their lack of ability to do much new and interesting material. Same old sounds and formulas being used over and over.

Lol.. you've got to be bloody joking about live instruments sucking!
Do you know how many legendary trance/progressive tracks were built around a guitar melody?

Who wants to just sit there and limit themselves to supersaws and synth sounds and hope to be actually doing anything newer or better than those who already peaked it years before them? A lot of great things come from crossing over boundaries and borrowing influences from other styles/sounds.

It's called subjectivity. That's the only reason.

House on the Beach Trance in the Club!

I really love both genre's especially warming a set up with house then gettin heavier with trance abit later on in to the night

very simple reason
house has the funk, the soul and the groove
trance has none of those (esp. today's garbage)

"cause all you need is a kick drum and a bass line. fuck all that other shit it's all confusion"

house is so boring and shitty it makes me want to cry.
