X-Men IV

Who saw X-Men 3, what do you think will happen if they make X-Men 4?

Posted by aquila on May-27-2006 05:58:

The extra scene at the end of the credits hints that there could easily be a 4th movie, however imho the storyline would be considerably thinner.

X-Men 3 was awful, I'm just gonna ignore it and believe that 2 was the last one.

Posted by nchs09 on May-27-2006 06:08:

brilliant movie.. the fight scenes could of been more and more hardcore. but overall good movie.

im the fucking juginator bitch! haahha or however u spell that

Posted by glass on May-27-2006 06:56:

I wanna see it but they should have kept brian singer

Posted by jonze on May-27-2006 07:38:

i thought they were making a movie just around wolverine after this.

Posted by Yan on May-27-2006 07:53:

It was a weak movie.

What was the post-credits thing?

The last scene in the movie, prior to the credits, definitely gives evidence that there will be another movie.

but then again the star trek films make it to like what 57 and who remembers any of those anymore

i can't tell if you're being sarcastic there or not.

i heard x-men 3 sucked, it's got a different director or something. being a childhood fan of x-men, i'd like to see a fourth movie, hopefully more true to the comic.

X-Men 3 wasn't that great compared to the first two movies but it was ok. And Bryan Singer decided to go with the new Superman movies instead of continuing with the X-Men so Brett Ratner (Rush Hour 1-3, Red Dragon,..) replaced him as the director for X-Men 3 which might have been a somewhat bad thing because sequels are never quite the same when the director changes along the way. So often the feel and continuity from the previous movie(s) ends up to differ from what would have been if the same director had continued with the sequels. B-movies with 1972358652375412 sequels again are a whole another story.

Most comic adaptations for the big screen have either made it big or failed miserably but X-Men 3 goes somewhere in between.. for just being ok.

I hope Mark Steven Johnson's take on Ghost Rider which comes out next year won't disappoint as much as Daredevil and especially Elektra, which was horrible, did because Ghost Rider is one of my fav Marvel characters. DD was partly good but partly it was horrible and should have followed the comics more loyally instead of trying to be overly dark toned, alot like Burton's Batman was. Anyways according to the Ghost Rider trailers found HERE it seems to be a bit of a yes and no movie. The CGI looks sweet as candy but hard to say more before i've seen the whole thing.

man there were some really shit parts in this movie....but some good as well

not as good as the second.... i dont think brent ratner did as good a job with the characterization as the last director

+1

One thing why didnt they get the same director?

Sam wtv he did all 3 Spiderman flicks. Why couldnt they use the same guy who did X-Men or X-2.

One thing they left out alot of stuff in X-Men 3 I found. Especially Siniter and Pryde. Seeing Cyclops married Pryde, because Cyclops thought Jean Grey died. Thats atleast 45 mins cut from the movie.

+2 - But Myra and I are going to see it today anyway; I'm a die hard X-Men fan, so I'm sure I'll like it regardless...

What a director cant do two movies at once. What a slacker

Posted by eRRaTiK on May-27-2006 17:00:

sin city and batman begins are by far the best comic to screen adaptations.

the x-men series are good. the 3rd was considerably weaker than the first two and it seemed they really simplified everything (in terms of storyline and characters) in order to make it "the last stand".

does leave it open for a fourth. guess it depends on how much the movie grosses and who they can sign up for the next one.

wolverine and prof x on the money in terms of casting. beast was decent. juggernaut sucked. he should have been twenty times the size of what was portrayed.

Posted by jester on May-27-2006 17:03:

Would be interesting to see Frank Miller and Christopher Nolan work together for X-4. Now that would be interesting to see.

Ok. I went to the premiere on Friday morning (11:59pm / 12:00am showtime) I felt a little cheated after watcing the movie, because it was only an 1 1/2 hours, and not much character development. However, there was a lot of action and excitement. I loved and hated the movie. CLICK HERE to read the spoilers, if you want to know to read my small synopsis on the movie .

Posted by jester on May-27-2006 17:15:

If felt they just speed through the whole production of the film. It felt they left out 30-45 mins of the film.

oh yeah .
forgot to add that.
+1 indeed.

i heard they had to do a lot of rewrites, because Halle Berry was making a lot of script changes / requests.
