[Trance] Vizay - Proximity effect (full, 320kbps & 192kbps)
Hi
thought I'd share with you my latest work again, was a while since I last showed you guys something here but I thought you were worth it
As usual no labels seem to like my stuff so I might just give it away like this instead and at least some people will hopefully enjoy it
you can right click and choose "save as"
HERE for a 320kbps version
or
HERE for a 192kbps version
the track is a trancetrack with pretty much focus on the melodies, very dancefloor oriented I'd say...
Name: Proximity effect
Style: Trance
Length: 9.28
quality: 320kbps or 192kbps (depends on wich one you picked)
produced in: I'll let you guess this one and see if anyone can figure it out
hope you guys enjoy it more then the labels seem to
and as usual all comments are welcome, good and bad
cheers!
added a 192kbps version for the ones that don't feel like downloading the heavier 320kbps version when it comes to size (192 is about half the size)
Really nice melody and atmosphere in this! Love the background sound! Great job!
Akia
thanks alot akia
been working quite alot to get the atmosphere good, for me it's not just a matter of melodies and percussion. I want to create a feeling with the track, dunno if I've succeeded with it but I guess that's from person to person
hey..
i like the beginning.. nice kick and bass.. clear production.. i like the synths u have going there in the intro.. got some Orange Theme tendencies there in the break..
i think the main lead is cool as hell.. and i like the way you make it more intense.. percussions arent the most interesting ive heard, although the ride is effective.. great production..
hey, reviewing as i type..
the pads are nice and the weak kick inntroduction is well done.
i really like the pads theyre almost like voices.. cool!
Omg! 2:40
the dark lead is awesome very cool!
the main leads are really good.. the break is quite well layered too.
the snairfill at 6:20 together with the main lead is just so cool.
outro is done well. i enjoyed this track. another one im going to play till dead! thanks for sharing,
Bidor

Overall a very nice listen, It feels like you have the solid base for a great track, in terms of sound quality it's good and drive is good too. If i was to rework something, it would be some of the synths and maybe a more crispy bassline as i find it a bit bubbly right now.
I would probably also add some more interesting elements, maybe some growly low synths and a tighter buildup during the climax
hmm more crisp bassline you say, gonna work a little on it and see if I can make it sound clearer...
I like that intro, bassline sounds very good...
Choirpad coming in sounds cheap imo.. i would make it sound more clean..
But it's kinda cool too, because it reminds me of some other track...
Hmm, can this be an old track of yours, since you're not telling when you've produced it?
The sound sounds kinda old imo.
Melodies are great, and the lead sounds ar welldone as well. Very clear and good sounding.
Great work and keep sharing tracks with us, it sounds good ![]()

(people generally bash the program and claims that nothing really proffesional can come out of it)
have sent the track to some labels now so we'll see what happens next. If the links stop working you know what's happened
Just an honest question (and I apreciate all honest answers about it, good and bad
)
is this track something you would buy or is it to low quality productionwise?
@staticblue: I looked into the bass that you suggested but it couldn't really be worked out in a good way. When I started to fiddle with the bass sounds they took up to much space in the mix so I couldn't get a satisfying result out of it.
Prolly have to redo lots or whole parts of the mixingprocess in order to get it to work and right now I don't have the energy for that
But I apreciate your tips and suggestions and I still have them in mind
I think its good enough, I would bye it!
Good luck!
Akia
Uh...yeah I'm keeping this track until I get sick of it. High quality production in my eyes. I hope all goes well with the labels because I'd definitely buy this track for sure. Very uplifting atmosphere and sounds. That lead is so effective for the track. Perfect sounds for the type of sound, atmosphere, and uplifting feeling you give the listener. I could go on and on about compliments, but I'll stop here.
Might put this in my next radio mix if you dont mind obviously?
I love your track.
Now while I know you probably love that melody you busted out, and so do i, I really think it needs a key change. Or you just need to vary the melody a little more.
Otherwise, at 9:28 long. I hope a lable will pick up a track that long with only a little varience. But while I've heard MUCH MUCH worse tracks signed (haven't we all). I think this needs something more. A little more pinash, some more spice.
I mean there's a little bit, at 5:30. But it's not a lot. I dunno.
The production quality of this track are superb, I could listen to it a few times without getting bored. Definately.
BUT while I know this is "trance" so you're supposed to just set a groove for people to trance out too. I would prefer a little more melodic change.
Great overall though.
It gets my "plus one" of the day.
PS: The reason I didn't give my long minute by minute review like I normally do is because this track is so well done, and so finished, "technical" aspects didn't really need to be adressed since the production values are so high. However, I wanted to go in a more subjective direction with how I thought about your track. Hence the more opinionated review. Good luck with the lables and congrats on such a hot track.

ryarni: of course not, don't mind at all
freaq: I see where you're trying to go with the comments and I apreciate your comment about the technical part of the track, seems like I've come somewhere when it comes to that part at least
Hmm about that little extra, suddenly some nasty ideas about vocals popped up in my head...maybe maybe
majutsu: I agree that it's asotish in one way but at the same time it's pretty far away from what I usually hear on asot (haven't listened for a while tho), but I dunno. I might not be objective enough since I've put in so much time and effort on the track.
oh and btw, if staticblue want to do a remix I'd be honoured. All he have to do is push the PM button and ask
hey there!
.
this track is really nice but well the choir pad sounds a bit .. cheap? ^^.
really like your break!
climax is really nice, like the melody
.
second break
.
like the claps.
outro is nice
. alot of stuff going on!
I wouldn't call the choirs cheap, but they are used way too much, it's all over the track, a moment of 'silence' would improve this track alot. The melody is classic, but I'd like to see some more variation in the 2nd build-up, it's too much of the same at the moment. Also I'd like to see better percussion, more variation in the beat. This track has high potential, at least if you make something special of it.
This is good...havent been to this part of the forum before today..
I really like this..sweet melo..nice bassline...but remember that i have a untrained ear..but i like this alot..
Woah, I love that panning choir pad. It's so airy and nice. But I agree with fake_illusion, the pad is used a bit too much in the track. But still, it's a very nice sound.
Melody is good, lead synth works well. The percussion is really good, I struggle with that myself.
I would shorten the track by 1 minute, it's a bit too long, with not enough stuff happening to keep it interesting enough.
Over all, really good stuff.
I'm thinking about what I can do with the choire, I haven't really thought about it before but it might be more exciting if Idon't use it in the whole track...
The choir is cheap sounding indeed, but actually all synths sound cheap. In the case you'd want to know, I wouldn't buy this.
The melody isnt that bad, so maybe a remix of somebody could bring something. Mid part is ok, because of the sounds filling eachother up. But especially before the break you can hear each individual sound is pretty cheap and thin.
Work on the sounds and fx, going into the right direction!
