Regional Thread Suggestions...here's your chance!

Alright you local freaks..here's you chance to make suggestions.

I think the first and foremost item on my campaign to become mod and a popular one at that...

It's time to give our section of sections their own place to play, the party planner will stay covering the whole USA - New York and surrounding North East Corridor States.

So go ahead - please vote for your section and offer up your suggestions

Although I know some areas are more populated than others, this will give you all the chance to rep your area

I propose a stickied thread for the following regions

1 - Rhode Island / Connecticut / Vermont / Maine / New Hampshire
2 - Massachusetts (Boston)
3 - New Jersey / Pennsylvania
4 - Washington DC / Delaware / Virginia(s)

or
-----------------------------
1 - Boston + Surrounding Areas
2 - Washington DC + Surrounding Areas
-----------------------------



Remember this is JUST a vote, this doesn't mean anything is going to happen or not happen. I think I've grown to know most of you on these boards and your voice is just as important as anyone elses.

I do recommend that 4 sticky's at top does take a chunk of the main forums. I'm basing our section similar to what the West Coast Forums have done (California in particular w/various cities)

So post in here, this will not be an official poll until I hear the voices of you. Then we'll go ahead and see what is the best way going about organizing our section.

and remember this thread is for offering up suggestions, the minute this turns into a debate about who gets what it'll be closed and left up to my discretion. Be adults =)

edit: this is a tough one for me because 1 stickie for all those regions is too much while 4 is too many..hrmm.. gotta think about it..

long before you were born the ppl have wanted a section for DC... now CT has been up & coming as well, don't you think u schmucks with the (possibly) worst paved section of i-95 in the nation want something to call your own?

hrmm.. interesting...it works, but i think that 1> it's too general and 2> ct/ma/dc people wouldn't appreciate their respective threads being named in respect to nyc..it's kind of self-defeating in a symbollic way..u know?

...i'm definitely in favor of a DC section, they have a really consistent and bangin nightlife, on par with NYC I say. then i would say...

1> Washington DC Thread
2> CT/Boston Thread

notes: i dunno if we can just say "boston and surrounding areas" since the events @ room 960 in ct for example are much closer to NYC than Boston but still not part of ny and certainly not part of massach00setts..and there seems to be little or no events beyond boston and ct so i wouldn't worry about vermont/nh/maine til a huge majority start popping up and want some serious representation, which has never happened yet.. just my pocket change..

We really dont need local stickies at all...


People will just end up posting in the main forum anyway about events and stuff.

And if there are local threads they will become PPR threads with a lot of crap, which is why a lot of threads are closed in the first place.

werd, i think brian will be doing something about this

maybe have a poll first to see if ppl want to see it go byebye (which i think, we'll all say yes, but the point is to do it democratically imho..)
