Speaking of which, I just saw two birds on my patio fight over a piece of bread. It went on and on and in the end they just left the bread there. Stupid birds

when i was in israel i was feeding breadcrumbs to a pigeon in a cafe, and another one came up and started fighting with it... i threw more crumbs to let them know there is enough to share, but the mean one was pecking at the other and making it bleed and forgetting about the crumbs

Just before easter a racing pigeon decided to land on our patio and rest at our house. He must have been released hundreds of miles away because he was exhausted and lay on the patio in the day sleeping.

Ate tonnes of seed and drank gallons of water. He was quite happy to lie on the patio sleeping while someone was working next to him. You had to be careful not to step on him

In the end, he stayed for five days resting, then left to continue wherever he was going We traced his racing number (a ring on his leg) to an owner in Dublin.
