How Long Does the life of a Cross Fader Last For?
I'm just starting out... I just wanna ask how long does the life of a cross fader last for if used at least once a day?
Depends.
If your a scratch DJ
then it will be worn out quickly
Id say six months
But regular Trance DJ's dont use it often, They use the volium of the PGM channels.
So most likely you wont have to replace it often if youre a Trance DJ.
However if youre going to try scratching
Let me recommend the Vestax PCV Series (003, 175 and 275)
They all have the PCV-Crossfader and PCV-Faders that have been tested for over then 2 million passes.
I Got the Vestax PCV-175 and Im very pleased with it.
up to 200,00 fades for a noraml x-fader..
though the new PCV faders from Vestax can last up to 1 million fades!!!!!!

Can anyone tell me why crossfaders wear out? Newbie question but hey, i gotta find out from somewhere
What about those digital crossfaders that Stanton is always boasting about? Do they get worn out as well?
