Audio only PC. What should I install?

I've just got a KVM switch so that I can run 2 PC's. The older machine will be for internet etc and my main computer will be purely for Audio.

My question is regarding what I should/shouldn't install on the audio only PC. At the moment, I have re-installed window's XP and nothing else. Should I go online with to download XP updates/service pack 2. If I do this I'll probably have to install zone alarm & norton anti-virus, although I would have probably done that anyway. Also, would you install say winamp and nero updates and other stuff relevant to audio.
Is there anything you would definately install or leave out. At the end of the day all I'm intrested in is getting the PC to run as quickly as possible.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

if your new pc aint a pile of crap, it should run common tasks without affecting audio...

I wouldn't install let's say office...you know microsoft sotware...the less on your PC, the better...

See what software you need and you might eventuelly need, so you don't see that you don't have any audio editor to cut a sample for example...

Think of it, make a plan and put in what you think is necessary...
