Elvis has left the building... a farewell

And by 'Elvis', i mean myself....and by 'building', i mean Chicagoland.

I officially left the Chicagoland area for good today, around noon. And I made the 6 hour drive out to Iowa for the very last time.

I have to admit, it was pretty rough to do so. last night i spent time with some real good friends from the ol' neighborhood. and then this morning i packed up the few things i had brought with me and headed out. after everything was packed in my truck it took me almost a half hour to actually get in it and drive away. every time my mom looked at me she would start crying, and then hug me and then i would start watering the eyes a bit. ugh. it really was a heartfelt leaving. Mainly cause I know after I leave the midwest on the 4th of June, i don't know when I'll be back...if i'll be back at all. Most likely for Christmas for two or three days, but that's about it.

Everything is starting to hit me, now, that I'm officially done with college, and i'm done "playing" in ROTC. Now in just 6 short days, I'll begin my life as an active duty Officer in the USAF. wow. and tomorrow I get to actually pick up my diploma/degree from campus.

leaving Iowa will be easier [mainly because i can't wait to get out of my apartment], but leaving my mom and dad and Chicagoland was just really really [and I mean REALLY] sad/depressing/strange all at the same time.

with all that being said, I would just like to extend a good luck to everyone out there. Have fun at the OMGBBQ. And best wishes to everyone in the MW, especially you crazy CTAs.

I never had the opportunity to meet you but I want to wish you best of luck and good wishes for the exciting future you have ahead of you. Give those USAF ppl a good introduction to trance music if they need it, lol. Ok also some of the slower stuff. Regards,
