Your favorite BPM speed

So, I'm a bit bored today and thought I'd ask you people what would be your preference when it comes to BPM speed in EDM.

When DJ-ing or partying my favorite tempo would be around 145 BPM mark. I got hooked on trance around 1992/1993 when 170 bpm trance was quite common so I am always loooking for that kind of energy in my "partying" music. The quality 170bpm tunes is basically non-existant these days though (Not too impressed with the freeform music or whatever it is called)..

However, when it comes to just listening music everything goes as I find all genres and styles has something to offer at certain times.

My experience as a DJ these days tell me that 145 bpm is a bit much for the common club dance floor (you really need to build it up well) although every once in a while you get a crowd that just goes mental when they are offered anything above 142...

Can't really say it matters. Though I've noticed that the older I get the lower I like my BPM's... eep.

I can't tell whether this is an insult to him, or praise of him

With Nik, this is as close to praise as i'll get. He isn't actually praising me, but he's not knocking me either

I just can't decide whether you're insane or just misunderstood

little bit of both. I remember putting an Ophidian track on at my ukta party, and trying to pitch it up further. Every 10 seconds someone would walk up & pitch it down, and i'd have to knock it back up again

It all depends on what genre it is, But I'm mostly listening to stuff at 130-150bpm.

Also, Ambient is one of my favourite genres, I love the atmosphere in those kind of tracks.
